The fact that it gets over shadowed by marketing makes me sad inside... the worst part is that i never used to NOT like xmas..... but now it is just a bit tainted for my cynical self...

I'm really tempted to go back to it after using the BT plan for my IM. Also, if I were to load up a plan in BT, it would be from that book. How painful was the loading? (hours)? |

Yeah, no worries. I got slapped for "lol-ing" my first day *wrist slap*. I was embarrassed. It's a silly rule, with no other reason than people got tired of the typical IM speak here. |

I'm doing the level 1 Olympic... wasn't too bad to load in just a bit time consuming... I attempted to make a spread sheet that used "pull down" menues. You picked CLR4, and it would tell you that it was "long Ride for 60 min" (or whatever). I got tired of going back and forth all the time. But that (the spreadsheet) got overwhelming very quickly. Good thing is, many of the workouts/weeks repeat, but with increased time, so you can copy week to week maybe, and just change the duration... There could be a slick way to do it, if you thought about it. OR, just plug away like you did. Crazy thing is, in "training Peaks" they offer these same plans that you can upload into your logs there. but they cost like 90 bucks for ONE plan! You can get the entire book for 20 or less....

youch.. yeah that would take a ton of work.... entering it in took me about an hour ish... but that was in between treating patients and other "work"... might have been faster if i had waited til i got home.... I like the variety of the programs and the scaling.. hard to believe that TP is charging for those programs.... I just bought a nutrition plan over there... I like it but it doesn't have a grocery list so its a bit of a pain in the butt |

I underestimated the scale of the task and gave up. BTW, I want to revise my previous post. These plans on TP or 50 to 80 bucks. Not 90. |

Sensei Sin City | Subject: RE: #57 - I Need a Drink - Gin and TANic ALSO: I still enjoy looking through the book just for fun. It's amazing to see the undertaking if you wanted to do some of the level 10-12 plans for the distances - a SERIOUS commitment. But also see how doable his level 1 IM plan was. I also like comparing, for example, a level 7 oly plan with a level 4 HIM plan. They have similar hours, but totaly different structure. Interesting stuff. |
