Dead horse? Strong Lancearm? Balls, just lost his Michelob Ultralight sponsorship, too. How's he supposed to drown his sorrows now!?!?! He could just join the Funny Farm. Although we do already have a resident psycho (he isn't certified, though). ETA I mean to say that Lance is not, as far as I know, actually certified as opposed to certifiable. I am certified. Expert 924 Western WI | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Straight-Up Ridiculous Manatees Part 5 - FULL oohhh, Lance. No LS chair, no Nike, no Mich... seriously, what is he going to do?! I bet he'll move away and lay low for a while and let it all blow over. Then start a new sport (for him) like downhill ski racing or something, then excel and become the slalom champion of the world while wearing a bright yellow GS suit! |

Expert 924 Western WI | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Straight-Up Ridiculous Manatees Part 5 - FULL In all seriousness: I've been wearing a live strong bracelet for upwrds of 6 years now (we all got one when my dad's best friend got cancer) and it's totally a part of me. Infact, my husband has never known me when I didn't wear it and I've only taken it off 3 times: my wedding and for 2 weddigns that i stood in (wore it on my ankle during my wedding though...) To me it stands for so much more than LS - stands for strength, for HTFU, for consistency, etc. ANYWAY, long before this lance crazyness, I started considering taking it off and replacing it with a tattoo on the inside of my wrist. Something yellow... I'm still considering this all and have been considering a yellow leaf (i love fall, did the Twin cities marathon the year I 'took off the bracelet', yellow is the color of LS...) maybe thinking about moving it to my inside arm just below my inner elbow... but may consider another idea/color - I'm just NOT creative!! Good at math, but NOT CREATIVE! all that to say - does any one have any suggestions/thoughts/opinions? I'd love to know your ideas I'm a little on the fence timing wise because I don't want people to think i tool off my bracelet becasue of all thats happening wiht LA - im actually a LA supporter (don't roast me!)... |

I'd love to know your ideas I'm a little on the fence timing wise because I don't want people to think i tool off my bracelet becasue of all thats happening wiht LA - im actually a LA supporter (don't roast me!)... Well, first of all I don't think there is anything wrong with continuing to wear it. You can support Livestrong without supporting Lance and you can support Lance without supporting doping/cheating/lying. And it sounds like you are already a supporter so, whatev. I totally get that it means more than just LS. But all that aside, I like the idea of something permanent too. I think that if you choose to do this you should definitely pull some elements from the bracelet. Whether that be the color or placement, totally up to you! You could, like, re-create the bracelet. Maybe start with the yellow leaf or whatever in the same spot as the bracelet and as time goes you can add to it until you have a full tattooed bracelet? I dunno, there are just so many options! |

Yellow tattoos rarely turn out the way you think they're going to. See^^^ - good info - thank you. Salt - there are TONS of options I love the idea of getting something i can add to...maybe not around my wrist (eta - can't have tattoos blatantly showing at my job...healthcare) - but i love the 'add it as live brings it' idea! (btw - this is NOT my first tattoo...it'll be my, lets see (counting...1...2...3 4 ...) sixth.) Edited by TriRx 2012-10-17 4:02 PM |
