Running naked? I definitely need at least a sports bra and some shorts to keep my butt from wobbling all over the place .... oh hang on, you probably mean running without a timing device LOL |

It was muzzled but still managed to get a good nip at my elbow despite it. Luckily its not deep, mainly a laceration, I don't think I'll need antibiotics. And my first thought was - am I still going to be able to ride aero this weekend? LOL! LOL!!! I'm sorry about the bite and glad it's not serious... but that really is funny. I would have had a similar reaction!
LOL thanks |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: VIllanous Vampires Team Thread mila - 2008-10-30 6:44 AM I love pizza with spinach, artichoke hearts, feta and banana peppers on it. Mmmm, that sounds super yummy. I've had very similar, though I tend to stay away from feta because of all the salt. |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: VIllanous Vampires Team Thread Offthegrid - 2008-10-30 9:25 AM I got my butt outta bed this morning and finished my challenge goal. Whew! I really, really didn't want to leave the house when it was dark and 20 degrees outside, but I got to the gym and went on the treadmill. My legs were a little shot, but I got 'er done. Also I took a week off to rest my Achilles, but I did not take a pass for that in the challenge and made it anyway. Thanks everyone for all the inspiration -- I'm going to miss this challenge! Waaaaah! Yay, good job! Good job being able to take a rest then get back out there. Whenever I take a break I have the hardest time trying to start going again! |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: VIllanous Vampires Team Thread ebshot - 2008-10-30 11:39 AM Got 3.1 done this morning. I have about 5 miles left. Headed back to the Y this afternoon for swimming lessons for Cole so I'll hit the treadmill again. Kind of want to run while Liam is at school too. Thinking about running naked too....I need to think some things over and burn off a bit of stress! Half the time I find running naked to be MORE stressful! Like, where's all my data!!! Hope the thinking goes well, and it isn't anything too worrisome. Also hope Cole's stuff is progressing well. You have an appt next week, right? |

Please get your spreadsheets updated as Im going to announce the challenge results Monday evening!!! Thanks for your participation CatThank you, Cat, for hosting a fun challenge. I got all excel-y and updated the spreadsheet sorta half-arsed. But I wanted to know generally where we stood. We are just over 90%. A lot of people are really close (except that dude Blagels who must be tied up somewhere doing someone else's bidding) - push it to the end! Whatever we can get in will help us along. Mila, have you chatted with Jens? He seemed to be into it, then sorta dropped away? LET'S GO VAMPIRES!!!! |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: VIllanous Vampires Team Thread eurydice79 - 2008-10-30 9:28 PM Crap - I'm 1.5km off completeting my running goal for this month and I wasn't able to run this morning. I got some stomach pain during the night and running was not going to feel good so I gave it a miss. I had my gall bladder taken out 8 years ago and occasionally I'll get these pains associated with it. Oh well. I managed to complete 98% of my goal this month so thats pretty good! Icky icky. Hope you are feeling better soon. Go away, aches and pains and sicknesses!!! |

And my first thought was - am I still going to be able to ride aero this weekend? LOL! Oh NO! That stinks! Did you have to go to the hospital? I know most vet offices here a bite is an automatic ER trip, no matter how bad. On that note, my BFF's dog bit someone today. Now they have to put her down. She was really starting to behave and calm down, being a really good girl. But she can't handle the house with so many people in and out, and she got territorial when a new guy walked in and she went after him. Pretty bad, I guess. I'm bummed about it, mostly because I didn't like this dog at first, but she's grown on me, and now I'm really sad to see her go. I think she'd do awesome in a nice quiet house, maybe without kids (though she really is awesome with the kids), but now we'll never be able to place her because she's bitten someone. So, she goes out to the field tomorrow (or to the vet's, haven't decided which). |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: VIllanous Vampires Team Thread eurydice79 - 2008-10-30 10:09 PM You've never had pumpkin in pizza before? OMG! Its easy - just chop up the pumpkin into little cubes and roast it (coat it in some honey and olive oil before roasting). Then get a pizza base, use pizza sauce or I guess pesto would be good too, crumble over some feta cheese, pine nuts, herbs, salt, pepper, cheese and then bake for about 20 mins! Voila! I think anything can be made into a pizza topping That sounds absolutely faboo! I will certainly have to try that. Wondering how the pumpkin (especially with honey) taste with the tomato sauce. Eeeeeeeeeenterestink... |

That sounds yummy! I love artichoke. What are banana peppers? Yellow peppers that are more sweet than spicy, though they have a bit of a bite. They are sort of tangy and a bit crunchy, generally served in rings. |

Thanks, its really not that bad! The dog was muzzled so luckily it couldn't open its mouth very far to grab much. Its just the superficial skin layers, so no need for a doctor visit. I did my own doctoring on it, it doesn't need sutures just a good clean up & I trimmed away the torn skin. Sorry I'm sure you really wanted to know that LOL!!! Its been 24 hours and no sign of infection, minimal pain, it'll be fine I'm really sorry to hear about your friend's dog. Most dogs that bite do it because they don't realise its wrong, most do it out of fear, most dogs are not innately nasty. Like the one that bit me yesterday was just a poorly trained and poorly socialised dog. It wasn't really his fault, he'd just never been accustomed to strangers and so didn't trust anyone but his owner touching him Edited 'cos I can't spell. Edited by eurydice79 2008-10-31 4:09 AM |

Master 1548 Perth, Australia | Subject: RE: VIllanous Vampires Team Thread Well I am almost done for the night here at work. Its Halloween here now, I wonder if I'll see any kids trick or treating, they're so rare here. I am thinking that since I didn't run this morning and we have daylight savings here now, I am going to do a quick run tonight to make up those 1.5k and bring me too 100%! Here's hoping that I can be motivated tonight when I get home from work. Go Vampires!!! PS - Does anyone know where we stand? |

Crumble it all up and mix a can of frosting in. (super messy and gooey) Make little balls and stick in the freezer. Stick a lollipop stick in them. Melt candy melts. Dip cupcake balls into candy melts and stick in a styrofoam block to cool and eat! The kiddos love them. I refrained from eating any of them. Go me! |
