Elite 4372 Connecticut | Subject: RE: Team Vixen - Dec. Limiter Challenge Well, I got a run in tonight. Only 2.1 miles though. I was running a route I run during the day. Well, at night it is poorly lit and there is a strip club I run past. There were way too many creepy people around. So, it was either cut it short or run the risk of being abducted! Okay maybe not but it weirded me out so I came home. Darn Bryan for working late on his day off! ETA: TOPPAGE! Edited by ebshot 2008-12-29 7:13 PM |

I wish I had a better option running in the dark. Just don't live in an area with sidewalks or good sized shoulders on the road. Sucks! Course if people obeyed the speed limit or paid attention while driving, I'd go ahead and run the back roads....instead, people fly by while talking on their cell phones! |

Master 2146 East Side of the Bay | Subject: RE: Team Vixen - Dec. Limiter Challenge Hi Vixens! Beth -you know you will be proud on race day and after over 8 on a hilly course on Sunday 5 will be a piece of cake. Erica- sorry about your run today. Is there a Y near you? Maybe you could put the kids in playtime or childcare and then go for a run. My Y prefers to have people stay in the building, but will tolerate someone running outside as long as their kids aren't little and they bring a cell phone and stay close. Kristin- congrats on the coach. How exciting! |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: Team Vixen - Dec. Limiter Challenge Hi-ya, team! Erica, too funny - I want the blue band! Wish there was a way to swap them, but as far as I can tell, they are sewn in. Which is weird, because they SAY they are swappable. *shrug* Edited by Slugger 2008-12-30 12:53 AM |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: Team Vixen - Dec. Limiter Challenge After a delay that seemed interminable, we are back on the air to bring you the exciting results as we near the end of this month. Our reindeer are fighting hard to the finish, battling families, flights, and food as they wend their way through the holiday season. Which team will come out on top? Who is going to soar across the finish line? It's all so close, it's all so exciting! With 84% of the month gone, last Friday's standings give us only the slightest clue about how our intrepid challengers are staring down their limiters. 1st: Vixens at 81.42% 2nd: Comets at 78.69% 3rd: Blitzens at 77.84% 4th: Dancers at 73.06% The Vixens hold on to their lead! The battle between the Comets and Blitzens is antler to antler! The crowd goes wild cheering the Dancers on to a strong finish! The suspense builds. This race is not over yet, folks. Not one team made the 84%, they all have work to do to crush their Limiters beneath them. Who will come out victorious? Who will topple the field? How will we stand the excitement?? Stayed tuned for a special installment bringing you the live finish to this phenomenal challenge right here inside your team thread. You won't want to miss it! |

Kristin- congrats on the coach. How exciting! Yeah, I go to the Y a lot but for a long run, I want to run outside if I can. Lesson learned, don't wait until 7:00 to run around here or head to the treadmill. That's okay, I'm headed out this morning for a run of no preset distance. I'm shooting for my 6-8 but after the past few days, I'm hesitant to say that is what I'm doing! |
