Team Vixen - Dec. Limiter Challenge (Page 85)

Hey Vixens- Hope you all had  great first day in 2009.  Got my "swim" in - everyone loved the polar bear party pic. Thanks Beth.  Even though we are not an official team anymore keep in touch! Looking forward to seeing many of you in Hyannis next month (Yikes). Planning to run tomorrow which is why there is snow in the forecast again.  Hope this little run/snow association doesn't hold for the race.  Hope that 2009 brings you all great things!

Hey gang, I'm going to give people the weekend to get their blogs and spreadsheets updated - I'm worried with the holidays some people might not be online, and I don't get internet again until Sunday. Hope everyone has an awesome new year and you all start cranking on your new goals!

How did the run go, Kristin? Was thinking of you guys out there when it was FRIGID!

I ended up pulling out a pretty good time. The party I was hoping to go to got canceled, so I had myself a pity party, then pulled myself up and headed out. I had left my cell in the car, and when I checked it (it barely worked it was so cold!) a friend said she had time to kill, did I want to get a brew? Why of course I did! So started out with some nachos (super YUM!) and a nice Tuckerman's Pale Ale at a nice bar in town. Went back to the BFF's house, where her youngest was having a miserable night (screaming for Daddy all night, makes Momma feel GREAT!). They finally conked out around 9:30, and I had done some internet searching to find out the local bar was having a pretty nice shindig for only a $4 cover. BFF's ex is the bartender there, so we get really good and CHEAP drinks. Well, not so cheap because we generally tip him more than he charges. It's good for him, and worth it to keep the drinks flowin'. We ended up leaving before the ball drop because we had a bottle of bubbly back at the house where we could consume without worrying about driving - I was already pushing the limits of sober enough to drive as it was. Got back to the house with about two minutes to spare. Got that bottle open and poured right quick!

This morning, woke up with no ill effects except that I was STARVING. Had some brekkie, had a little hair o' the dog (hot chocolate with some Bailey's caramel to start the new year off right!), then some friends and their girls came over to play. Oh, yeah, and I played about a million and a half games of Clue, which was fun! We sledded outside in the below-zero temps for almost an HOUR! Crazy kids were whining when it was time to go in and warm up! None of us could believe we'd been out that long. Had a good convo with friends, the girls had a great time playing together, all around a great day.

Kristin, that pic is awesome! I trust you'll be going to work in that getup, yes? LOL!

Erica, how'd the pinot and cab work out for ya? I had a Sav Blanc that I really WANT to taste good, and it just doesn't. *sigh*

I miss the Vixens already

Me too! Lotsa serious discussion about training.  Makes me grumpy :-/
