Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: Whips, Cattle Prods & Tiaras (Four-Is-More Challenge) So, had a cool experience today. I've been searching for a real job for over a year now, and getting rather discouraged the longer I'm out of my desired field/environment. I've gotten a few bites, but no offers. So I applied for this job that was something of a stretch, but I'd rock the house, even if my resume doesn't look like an exact fit. But they haven't contacted me, and there's no info to contact anyone there (online app). So I go to this shindig tonight in the town where the college is, and talk to this person who knows EVERYONE, and I say, "Hey, do you know anyone at the college?" (of course she does!) She says, "Well yes, right there (pokes guy in back) is the Vice President." He turns around, she introduces us. I say I'm looking at this job, and without missing a beat, with serious enthusiasm in his voice, he says, "Come see me - you know where my office is? I'd love to talk to you." YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have *never* met this guy before, he's the VP for Student Affairs, and he immediately wanted to talk to me about this job! I have no idea what sort of connections he has to the job, but dOOd, I'm psyched! Even if he can point me in the right direction for who to talk to, that would be fabulous. I just want an interview to try to talk them into hiring me. So please please please cross all your fingers and toes and aerobars for me in the next few days - I'm hoping to see him Thursday morning. I might even call and see if he's got time today. YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!! |

I'm thinking Joe is rapidly becoming one of the most eligible bachelors on this site - just wait until COJ finds out he's hawt, likes going shirtless, is smart and motivated and that crap, AND he bakes! Whoa! Hmm, now I have to decide between banana bread and chocolate chip cookies in the morning. Maybe chocolate chip banana bread? I wonder if I have applesauce... The little guy and I are going apple picking today and I am trying to decide if I should make home made applesauce. I've never made it but how hard can it be? Oooo, Slugger, I can't remember if I already posted this but those peppers were KILLER!!!! Loved them lots! |

How long until the hubby goes back out again? Good question. For the past three days we have been getting up at the crack of stupid to take him to work thinking he's leaving only to get a call later that night to come and get him. It's killing me! I need my sleep for pity sake! |

College kids. Don't know how they do it! Thats how I felt and Im only 26... Then again I do have some memories of what it was like when I was a student.. As you get older I find that you can survive on less sleep. When my son was at the end of high school I think I was surviving on 3 hours of sleep a night. Now I'm really lucky if I get 6 hours. And that is with a lot of waking up, tossing and turning. I would be thrilled to sleep for 6 hours straight without waking up. It's funny how the older we get, our dreams and wished change. |

It's the best thing ever!! I used to live in San Antonio and it was a specialty at Boudro's. Now I'm in the Hill Country and no one can seem to make one. We can't find prickly pear cactus juice anywhere. Considering I'm currently pregnant probably a good thing since I keep craving them. Congratulations! When are you due? |

Having raised a son & daughter, and kept a hubby for 26 years, I have to totally agree with this comment. Edited by kns57 2008-09-24 8:33 AM |

From the school of cinema and television arts at California state university Northridge. How is that for a mouthful. Can't wait to be done in december. And wish me luck I just had one of my short films entered in 3 film festivals. I hope I place. joemac3 - 2008-09-24 7:54 AM art films of the 1920's from Europe are so boring I can't take it. It's so hard to stay awake I know the film course is part of your degree... but whats the overall degree? Good luck with the films entered in the festivals. |
