TriAya - 2008-12-09 10:49 PM I made the nicest red lentil stew for dinner--especially good since right now I hate vegetables and lean protein makes me want to puke, so I'm so happy I found something nice that I want.

Ooh..yummy! I have black bean soup that I want to make this week. And buffalo chili.

BEEFALO CHILI! I make really awesome chili--I forgot about that. Thanks for reminding me, that would be something good I can make that I want.

Secret ingredients: Guinness and coffee!

Guinness and coffee in chili sound like it would be really good.

The buffalo is new.  I started using it instead of ground beef (or beef in general).  It's really good.

Plus yuo can make lots and just reheat (although Im not convinced on the secret ingredients)

It won a firehouse chili contest in the mountains. People could just not get enough of it. And mountain folk, where it's cold, they take their chili seriously.

haha well then maybe I just dont get chilli

The dark beer really kind of marinades the ingredients and adds richness and thickness. The coffee cuts the acidity of the tomatoes so it's a heartier, more savory stew. I think it makes it addictive, too; people feel better after eating it

The quarter is over.  I need to move on.  I need to let go of all the things that I was going to do, but never got around to finishing (or in some cases...starting).  The vast majority of incomplete items were accumulated more than a month ago.

I keep thinking that I could finish up such and such and email it to the instructor...

I will get the grades I get and leave it at that.

Next quarter will be a fresh start.

Okay, grades based on internet postings

Botany-This was when I was really really overloaded.
Assignments: 46%
Quizzes/tests: 90%

This averages to a 68%, but according to the class point system I earned 355/500 points which is 71%.  This is either a low C or a high D

I think I have only received one grade below a B before...

January 6th...lots of time.  I also have some of the materials for next quarter so I can prep some of the busy work.

Literally a ball of yarn.  It's easier to knit if I turn it into a ball rather than the skeins you see in the stores.

To receive credit for the class I need 61% or more.  To receive my AAS I need to have a average of 75% - a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better.  If I don't blow it again, this should be no problem.

Plant ID grade...

Nursery Visits: 94%
Quizzes: 82%
Final: 92%

Overall: 96.4%

Considering that I missed 2 of the 9 quizzes, didn't get one of the nursery visits done, and took the final with a concussion...that is pretty awesome.

I scored a full grade higher than the class average on the final.

Its 4:30 here and the last think i think I want to do tonight is go to the gym... weird since the weather is closing in so it will be a nice cool night at the gym and therefore probably quite pleasant..

Not sure what I want to do... Im having trouble finding the purpose in a few of my workouts right now I guess...

About the other--maybe just time to let go, as you said. It will all balance out in the end.
