Holy Sh*t (pun intended) that was funny as hell. I fell over from laughing so hard.
Plus you got the scars to prove it. Now tell me how much did dog kicking boy laugh once all was ok.

So I've decided I'm going to take that story down.  Given what I do for a living... I don't want it to come back and haunt me someday.

Sorry Justin... you missed out on some serious greatness.

Don't worry Justin, I happen to have all posts made to this thread in email. I'll trade you a PM of the story for a race report

Hello, my name is Kelli and I'm a workout-skipper   I could not pull myself out of bed this morning for anything....I even overslept by 20 minutes AFTER re-setting the alarm.  As expected I feel guilty and am totally kicking myself now.  99% of the time once I'm out of bed I'm fine & I'll wake up on the walk to the pool, but getting out of bed has been such a struggle lately.

Kelli - Dont worry the first step is admitting you have a problem. 11 more steps and you can be cured.

Yep admitting you have a problem is the first step. You're admitting that you're being hard on yourself right?   I definitely don't think that missing this AM will affect how many guys you 'chick' at Timberman!

I wonder if that large bar of workout minutes last week has anything to do with being extra tried, hmmm....

Hey guys... I am working on the RR now.  Sorry for the delay!  I was traveling back yesterday (8.5 hrs... brutal) and then I went to work at 5:30 until 11:30.  I did not bring my laptop with me on the trip... So this is the first computer access I have had for several days.

Thanks for all the well wishes...  All I can say is that... Buffalo Springs is a tough frickin' course!!!  I had an absolutely horrible run/walk... had a little Eric experience!  Got nauseous at about mile 2-3 and had to wlk way too much.  Every time I tried running I would feel sick.  I never puked, but it was a miserable feeling.  It wasn't really hot, so I am not sure the cause... I am thinking it was poor nutrition on the bike... which I felt very strong on.

I am going to finish the RR and I'll be back to get caught up... Thanks again!

I LOVE large bars of workout minutes!!!!!!

Not admmitting that I'm being hard on myself bc this morning was one of those moments I needed HTFU and getting my tired a$$ out of bed.  In the wise word of Justin, I don't have to like it, I just have to do it.

Oh yea, and while we're on the topic of admitting things.....I will also add that I'm a triahtlon addict.

Welcome back!!!!  Think of it this way, if the course was easy it wouldn't be nearly as much fun!  Sorry to hear about the pukey feeling.  I thought about this a lot on my long workout this weekend....no matter how much training you put in and how hard you work, you never know what can happen come race day and you just need to roll with it as best you can.  Way to push it out!  Can't wait to read the RR.

Kelli - you are too hard on yourself.  It's alright to get some extra sleep....really.  One swim workout is not going to set you back.

Only one tear BvD... I'm crushed!  EvD at least cried two for me...

Great race you two!  On Dean Kings heals Eric... un-frickin'-real!  Ol' DK is super fast.  You are only moments away from Tri-Eliteness!

Speaking of Tri Elites.... the 70.3 series brings out some fast frickin' people!  I expected the guys to be fast, but I never expected to see that many super fit, super fast, smokin' hot tri chicks...just crushin' it on the bike and the run!

I got to see Heather "Hot as Hell" Gollnick up close & personal... and I got to meet & shake the hand of David Bailey.  Who is David Bailey you ask?  Well, he is a wheel chair athlete (took 2nd at BSLT).  As a kid growing up, racing dirt bikes - DB was an idol of sorts;  He was a Motorcross / Supercross superstar.  DB was injured in a motorcross accident and was paralyzed.  He has become an awesome triathlete completeing Kona and many other races.  He is an inspiration and I got to shake his hand!  Totally stoked about that!

The poo stories are way funny... and thanks for the PM of yours Nicole.  I was laughing so hard!

I am looking forward to a short break and then getting truly focused on the task at hand.  BSLT was a true wake up call as to things to come.  Nutrition & hydration so key to a good performance.

Let me clear that up... I was the next closest person to Dean, he was handing me my a$$ on a platter on the bike even with me going 24.3mph and he busted out 5:40's  to wrap it up. Not quite in the same class but who knows maybe some day I'll loose 40-50lbs and can run like that

That's awesome you got to meet and see all of those great athletes! That's a blazing fast race too because all of the CO boys come down from their mountain training and tear it up.

You up for 288 lake this weekend... seems to be a group forming for sunday @8:30am and BvD might cry that 2nd tear for you if you don't go!

Yeah, I am tossing around the idea of swimming Sunday.  I need a little swim therapy.  I will know for sure what the weekend plans hold by Thursday or Friday at the latest, and I will confirm with ya.  A little 1.2 action without the wetsuit could be fun...  I think!

BTW.... you really need to think about doing BSLT next year.  With your power on the bike, you could have an awesome race there!

I say go for it!  I can be both your cheerleaders but sorry I won't be as good as toe touching Nicole!  (It is some incentive that one of my bestest friends just moved there!

And yes Justin that single tear could double if you don't show up on Sunday!

Cheering for BOTH of us huh?... Easy trigger, I didn't say anything about ME doing that race AGAIN...at least not without a year in between...  I am in no hurry to rush back to that race course!   EvD on the other hand... he doesn't have a hair on his tookus if he doesn't make the journey and make BSLT his beeeeooootch!  I am just sayin'...

Sounds a lot like a shove in front of a bus to me! Come on man misery loves company right?! haha

I think we should have everyone plan on Longhorn 70.3 next year, make it the official evondo group race Wetsuit legal, cooler weather, semi-hilly course, arena finish, post race beer what more can you ask for?
