The google sheet is great!

I have a light morning...no calls so I will go in and update all the names.  If you are new to add, hold off until I post that the sheet is done!

GMAN 19030 - 2011-05-13 7:22 AM No problem.  Keeps it clean.  The roster thing being constantly edited here is a freakin' mess.

Yep, good call... only downside is that the page count won't increase nearly as fast Cool

OK Kids...

the Google sheet is up and populated

I suggest you go in and check/update your information if it is not correct!

Now we need someone on race day to keep and update this as the IMTX watching thread spreadsheet

We are planning on printing this out Friday sometime and will be at Run Aid Station 4 with Team RWB, watching for everybody on the list.

Good idea but I cannot do that.  You can only edit a post in the first 30 minutes and I think we a a bit past that!

I can start a new thread with the link though

I'm already planning on puttin 2 extra tubes in my bike special needs bag incase i use both of the ones I'm carryig with me on the first half of the ride (had two flats early on during the Galeston 70.3 and a 3rd wold have likely led to a DNF). I might put an extra pair of dry socks in the special needs run bag. Other than that, nothing different if it rains.

Heck to the yeah!

By the way, whoever's printin out the spreadsheet for use at the water station--it probably goes without saying, but you probably want to sort by number before you print it out. Would be much quicker to look things up as people are coming by.

erin116 - 2011-05-12 2:04 PMTut tut, looks like rain...As much as my lawn needs it I don't want the lake to cool down enough to make it wetsuit legal.
I would have agreed with you there Erin, about 3 weeks ago. Would definitely give good swimmers an edge. I will probably be the only person wearing one now. Ill see how things turn out during this last week. Stil fighting this hip issue. I have done nothing but swimming this week, and my hip flexor hurts when kicking. Not a whole lot, but it bangs. Slowed my speed down and causes my hips to drop. Legal or not, I think I am going to suit up and stick to a light flutter kick and pull like crazy. Don't think I'll be getting hardware or a Kona slot with this hip anyways. Actually, thinking about it, same would apply even if I was 100 percent! Can't wait for the race to come so I can stop obsessing and worrying.

How sure are you that it's bursitis? Like, really?

A year and a month ago I thought I "pulled" or "tweaked" something in my flexor or quad. Less than 2 weeks later I was on crutches with a stress fracture, even after not running at all after it started hurting. 4 months on crutches, (VERY undertrained for this race), still going to PT a year later.

Whenever I read stories like yours (been following on the thread) I get really nervous.

Good points from Comet. Another thing to consider - I was out for over a year with hip bursitis / tendonitis. I spent thousands on MRIs (yep, it shows severe inflammation), X-rays (nada), PT, etc. Turned out to be 2 of my vertebrae in my back were crushed together pinching a nerve. Some sports tape to separate them, sleep on an ice pack for a week to bring down the inflammation in the nerve and I was good to go. Now whenever my hip starts to hurt I take care of my back. I stretch it out and ice the area. When I'm running and I start to feel my hip I stretch the back out and really engage my core to keep it the back stretched and the pain goes away. Just telling you this as something else to look for (they found it accidentally when looking for something else) and ways of possibly rehabbing it.

Sunny and 85!  CoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCool

Now this is what I am talking about!  Did you notice it even said Sunny and Less Humid, oh yeah.  And to top that off say winds from the WSW - that is awesome - I am certain this forecast will not change!  Everyone get ready for a great day!

I can only conclude today that Accuweather is a much better forecasting system than Weather.com.  (although I reserve the right to change my opinion tomorrow if Weather.com looks more favorable for us with it's next update).

I know there has been talk about getting together at the practice swim on Friday. I was thinking, for those planning on being around the finish line at midnight, we should see if we can get together for a group photo after the 17 hr mark. Ideally, they would let us gather in front of the finish line for the photo.

For anyone who ordered the GPS tracking, do you know how people access it? I want to send out a note to friends and family with instructions.

re: GPS tracking... I ordered and ask that question.  With the package you recieve, you will receive a unique website that your family/friends will be able to log on and track you.  I have not used, but asked the question to the company.  That was my understanding, that it all comes together, and is fairly foolproof.
