Good going!

I adjusted mine up too! I originally had 500 minutes and 10 stages to 800 minutes and 13 stages.

TexOma - 2009-07-17 1:44 PM

I somehow went over 100% today on the spreadsheet.  I'm still a little over one hour away from hitting the distance goal, but I'm over the goal for number of stages.  That's because I'm riding more times of shorter distance (one hour) on the trainer since I have the broken toe.  Anyway, I'll have to adjust the goals before long.

And by the way, some of us are proud of our low post counts.  I've been on BT for a few years and am dangerously close to 1000 posts.

We had some sweltering heat here, but I had a really good ride today - actually two, kinda, seeing as it was split up before and after a meeting.

My problem is that I'm just running out of time! I have a vacation on a houseboat next week and will be out of commission from Wed-Sat. That leaves me Sat-Tues to get in 110 miles! AAAAARGH! What was I thinking not riding last week!?!

So......here's my plan of attack (writing it down so I can refer to it later):

- Get a 30-miler in tomorrow morning/afternoon.
- Do a 15-miler late Saturday night on the stationary bike at my work after my shift ends (about midnight).
- Do a lazy, easy-going 10-miler on Sunday night (normally I don't exercise on Sundays, but I'll just take it easy and use my bike as a mode of transportation).
- Do 25-miler early Monday morning.
- Do 20-miler early Tuesday morning.
- Do another lazy, easy-going 10-miler on Sunday, July 26th after I get back from my trip and cruise into Paris victorious with the rest of the group!

Moral of this story: Don't procrastinate! This will be a lot of riding in not a whole lot of time for me.

Hi all,

I made it to 95km on my long ride today and it was sooo much easier than last week and I am very happy now

I might need to adjust my mileage goal as well, as I only have 29km to and 4 more stages to ride...

Happy weekend everyone

Part 2 of my sprint-to-the-finish plan is in the books. Got off work at 11:30 p.m., went downstairs to the gym and rode 20 miles on a stationary bike (took 80 minutes, ugh!) while watching the Tour de France. I don't get that channel (Versus in the U.S.) at my house, so it was fun to be able to watch some.

I hope my tush can hold up for a few more days of punishment!

WAY TO GO!  Wooo Hoooooo.

I made my goal of 200 miles today.  It took 10 stages instead of 7, but I finished.  I'll keep riding and log more miles.

Got another short ride in today, leaving me about 43 miles and basically one day (Tuesday) to get it in. I might be able to get in a 10-miler on Sunday, but it'll be tough. Problem about tomorrow's ride is that I have family in town and we have a full day planned. Oh boy.

I don't know what would be worse - one of your crazy hot summers or the CRAZY cold summer we are having.   Sunday morning people were out cycling with winter gear on!

Glad things are looking up for you.

Hi Team

I am behind But I had some problems with my bike last week; I broke my back wheel And therefore lost a ride or 2. But now I have borrowed another wheel and is back biking again. I think I need 6 stages this week so I had the plan I would try to get in a ride everyday, but then yesterday I worked to 11PM and then it was a bit late to bike. So I thought I was not going to make the challenge, but then I got the idea just to bike twice today So my plan for the day is a bike-run-bike brick to bring me back with a chance to make the challenge

Go TEAM

I have been a VERY unsociable Team 'Mate' this year. Sorry. Work has been busting my rear quarters. Good news is I have been riding. So far I've done 23 prologues for a total of 126.5 miles. So number of rides is good but I've got to do at least one longer one to reach the 210 Miles I promised. I WILL get that done....... somehow.

I'll try to catch up on the thread to see how everyone have been doing.

And let's all send well wishes to Jens Voigt. He was very lucky to not hurt himself worse in that crash.
