If it is possible to overdose on prunes I am sure that is possible to overdose on a laxative.  I used Miralax to cleanse/purge my system before a colonoscopy.  I am so hypersensitive to everything the traditional solution they use made my vomit...violently...so much force in it that I burst bloodvessels throughout my neck lower face and in my eyes as well.  the bottom half of my sclera (I just learned a new word-it is the white part) were blood red.  I looked scary for a couple of days.
