I could feel it doing some popping when I was running then, but it never really hurt. It hasn't hurt since then it has just sort of been stiff. I head out for my 5 mile run this afternoon, I live on a hill, so I start running down hill and I can feel a popping again at the top of my knee cap, but this time it hurts. I couldn't run very far, I turned around and walked home. I already have a doctor appt scheduled for Dec. 2, I doubt I could get in before that. I have a HM on January 17th this is no time to be injured.Right now I'm sitting in my recliner with it propped up and with ice on it. That's not good to hear Ann! Stiff joints are NO fun. Kudos on being smart and walking home. I hope you can get into your doc earlier if possible. Take care of yourself... Thanks Tom. I'm actually a little worried this morning, it is still sore. I wrapped it, which has helped. I've also done some searching online and I think it may be runner's knee. I'm planning on inserting a few days rest in right now, which means no turkey trot for me tomorrow but my husband and son are still going to do it so I will be the cheerer for a change instead of the cheerie. Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation is my plan for the next few days. I was ahead of schedule in my training plan so I should be ok to take a few days off right now. |
