I found it humorous to hear Alexi Lalas call England "not that good."

Why? Wouldn't they have to win their game either way?

Considering his esteemed career as a novelty beard, it was more the pot calling the kettle black.

Looks like NED and JAP will advance.

Hope AUS will win against GHA.

Cameroon doesn't have much luck.
Denmark's  defense is good.

I wouldn't say that it was good. It was better than Cameroon's, though, and that was all that mattered. After the hiccup at the beginning that led to the Eto'o goal, Denmark tightened down... a bit.

Those two Denmark goals were some of the best finishing of the tournament (that I've seen).

Ivory Coast seems pretty desperate toward the end.

It looks to me like Keita ran into Kaka's elbow.

yet he pretended he'd been elbowed in the face - not big or clever imho. still not as bad as the guy last time who was hit by the ball on his thighs and dived down clutching his face - bloody cheats!

Well, Kaka did put up his elbow knowing someone is coming toward him.  Caused him a yellow.

But noone is as bad as the classic "diver" - Carlos Valderrama of Colombia, in the 1990 World Cup.  He fell onto the ground, grabbing on his leg as if it were broken.  Taken out of the field by stretcher.  5 minutes later he came running back in.

French players ganged up to diss their coach...

Looks like another French revolution is about to happen (anybody knows how the last one end?)

Portugal is absolutely KILLING North Korea (oops, sorry, The Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea).  I'm really interested to see what the official statement will be from DPRK after they have been eliminated.  Whose fault will it be?  Obviously, Kim Jong Ill's secret communication with the coach wasn't good enough, or maybe it wasn't working.

And Ronaldo just scored one of the funkiest goals I've ever seen.  Even he is laughing about it.
