You know, since they're injured and all, they get to adjust their goals based on how much time they are off due to injury/illness. So thanks for helping to look after the welfare of our group. We appreciate it. Thanks Paul! How have you been? Everything good in the cardiac department? You know in the end I am just trying to increase my post count - I wish you all 100% success this month because I know I will be 100% - insane but it still counts All is well in the cardiac department. I'm working on building things back up. I ended up not getting any races in this year. I'll be able to do the 5k that I usually do on Thanksgiving but it will be the only race unless I decide to do a "beat the New Year" 5k. Oh well, there is always next year. I toally understand the post count thing. I remember back in April when you set the goal to hit 8700 and blew that one out of the water. You've had a good year six months for posting. I was thinking of setting a post goal to hit 2000 for the month but that's pretty ambitious for me. |

Since I obviously don't feel like working, I think I'm going to grab my gym bag and hit the dreadmill in the basement for a run. |

Squash the Ghoulies!! I think annoyed is a better word than concerned. I know we will win both challenges this month. I don't want to win the posting challege by a little, this is our speciality, I want to win by a lot. Of course if we'd remove all of the Ghoulie posts from this thread you'd have what... a page and a half? |

So many adults think Halloween is for kids only. I love to dress up and I'm 25 without kids or friends with kids. My favorite time of the year! I think we should have a chance to dress is costume at least once a month (without being considered nuts). I had a Halloween cosume party a couple of weeks before Christmas once. I just like that they are still more focused on the creative/dressing up/fun part of Halloween and not so much the candy part of Halloween. Don't get me wrong... they LOVE the candy! You can't avoid Halloween so I figure we may as well emphasize the positives. It's harder for me, not having a creative bone in my body... my mother loves Halloween and always had great costume ideas for me when I was growing up. My favorite was the year I was a stop light. We took a big box, cut arm holes and painted it yellow. We then stucks some cans out the front and back and covered them up with green, yellow and red cellophane. My dad rigged it up so I had switches and I could actually turn my lights red, yellow and green like a stop light! That sounds totally cool. Some of our best creative costume ideas came from our son when he was growing up. We did themes sometimes. One year I was the grinch, my wife was Cindy Loo Who, and my son was Max, Grinch's dog. Fun times. Now my son is off to college and I work in a boring office where no one dresses up. What can I expect, I work in IT and its a lot to ask to get people to come dressed in normal clothes fit for the public. Oh the memories. One time growing up I was the clock from the Hickory Dickory Dock poem, complete with a mouse that ran up the clock. My parents were creative with our costumes. I was glad that I had a box over my head because I was really embarrassed. I didn't have any choice in that one but I was happy that I was at least able to go. My parents didn't like the idea of begging candy so they didn't let us go for years. I think I was 11 or 12 that year and it was our first time trick-or-treating. |

Well I hope everything is good in there. And I am saying this as a friend not a challenge but take it easy building back up! No, you didn't do a race. You did over 1700 miles in one month instead. I'd say that's a little more of an accomplishment than completing a lot of the races out there. |
