Ugh... what a pain in the you know what. The guy selling the farm won't even really talk to us to answer questions because he doesn't think we'll get a loan approved. Which, quite honestly, we probably won't. But my husband is still going through the process of the credit checks with the bank, etc. This farm is really a great opportunity but I wish I could convince my husband to start a little smaller... and build from there. He's the kind of guy that doesn't exactly know how to take things slowly, though, you know what I mean? The good news for me is that I don't have to worry about finding a new job with health insurance, etc and don't have to worry about messing up coverage for my daughter's surgery in February. It's the little things like health coverage for my family that make me happy! We aways say "if it is meant to be, it'll happen." Surgery doesn't sound like fun though. I hope your daughter is OK. That's the way I'm looking at it! This one, I can't control... I have plenty of other stuff that I can influence that I need to focus on. I'm personally hoping nothing is happening with the farm because I'm really destined to win the lottery soon! ![]() My daughter is good... she was actually born with a "hole in her head", as we lovingly refer to it. On the crown of her scalp, there was a small opening with no skull bone and no skin - just the membrane over her brain. The skull eventually closed up and the skin formed a scar. We are very fortunate that mentally and physically she is developing exactly as she should be! This surgery is just cosmetic, so she doesn't have a bald spot on the top of her head. She does get questions about it from kids at school and wanted to have this done and over with before kids start to get "mean" in a few years... But she has to be put under and she will have to have this done twice. She's already have the 1st one and she's funny... she asked the doc if she could shave something cool on her head instead of her scar... We said no to shaving her head... but had to promise she could temporarily dye her hair a funky color when it's all done! |

How do we do her run percentage? I told her to come into the thread and asked to be withdrawn from that part but I haven't seen anything yet. -- Msmogreen - hasn't gotten over 25% of her time in, when I went to inspire she didn't have anything in her log since the first week of the month and she isn't responding to inspires. to ironkid on the other team. She came back and told me that we can reduce RedSoxChick down to the time of the month that she could participate but we would have to suck up msmogreen and take the lost since the person not coming by, not participating is all part of the challenge. I doubt she will come back - she hasn't logged into BT since the 10th. I will update RedSoxChick but we still need everyone to give it a huge push this last week if we even want to stand a chance. ![]() Did you PM msmogreen too? Got in double set of my "strength" as a stress reliever today. This is how the day went.. Got a mani/pedi this morning and came home to find Bo (3 month old puppy) ill. Spent 3 hours in the Emergency Vet to find out something that he ate has irritated the heck out of his GI tract. No food/water tonight, slowly back on them tomorrow, a doggie version of Pepsid to calm his system down and some penisillion to help ward off infection. We get home, he jumps out of the truck and pees and then find something to chew up. Why can't he learn.. He is going to make me go premature grey I tell you. Aww puppy. Hopefully he's well soon! I feel so bad for sick animals because they don't understand why they feel like crap. Thanks - he is doing better today - hated me and wanted nothing to do with me for most of the day after we got home yesterday. Today he is just trying to figure out why mommy is giving him 1/8 of his normal dog food and doesn't have free reign on the water bowl. He is sleeping a bit more today but that is to be expected after the rough day and is tolerating his feed (read not throwing it up within seconds). ![]() Stacie |
