(I like numbers...except when you do things to them...like add...subtract....multiply...)

Just got done icing the knee. It's not too bad. Still a bit swollen. My legs would rather not walk up or down any stairs right now.  Actually, they'd rather not walk. Period. I may throw the bike on the trainer tomorrow night and do some easy spinning. We'll see.

I know you will find this  hard to believe but I rode the afternoon of my marathon and my 32.5 mile ultra.  I figured the sooner the better and it actually worked!


I think some active recovery might help. When I sit for any length of time I get pretty stiff. When I walk for a bit, things loosen up.

I wonder what my swim LT is..prob quite a bit higher than my bike right now. Tradsies Bill-swim for bike? I aim to be hyper-efficient for IMLP in all 3 sports...that's'right. Hyper-efficient.

Slightly shorter day at work today.  I did manage to get a run in afterward.  I can't say I'm a fan of it getting dark at 630 pm

Ugh. Im happy I'm done before noon...so going home to have a nap before swimming. Swimming was okay last night--overall pretty easy 3300..got in a bit late and out about 10min early...drill and kick mainly. Did some fly--two sets of 4x25 @ 30 in a row...I can't tell you the last time I did 100 fly more or less straight in a set. Haha. We will prob be hitting some 4-5k workouts soon.

I think I'm sick in the head..im the midst of the philosophical discussions I have had with myself since 230..(I awoke at 230 and not 5...) I was thinking about these threshold sets this one coach used to give us back in the day for swimming. I improved a ridiculous amount with that coach..he's'kind of like my big bro now. Haha. Well I've been thinking about how to channel those sets into running...if they worked for me for swimming, why not bike/run...i'm not really sure why I haven't thought of this before...

Hmmm..so one of the sets back in the day was 8X400 on short rest...so I was prob doing them on 530-540 holding 520-525..ish. So in running that would be like doing 8x1000m (right now anyways) on like 530 holding 510...ish...hmmm...this is an experiment waiting to happen in Dec. With a 4-5km WU...8km...2-3km warm down...hmmm

Oh they have a track team. And I do realise that it is kind of a "duh" situation, but I won't go an train with the varsity guys...and they train when I have class usually. So ya. I'm just more sit down and think about what you are doing vs "just go out and run"...I've always sort of done it on the bike because with my ankle injury with swimming I did a lot of bike training. I guess it just never occured to me to have "running sets" some of the time because I just needed to be able to run. I dont know if i am making sense anymore...oh philosophical epiphanies at 230 in the morning...
