I feel like I was an awkward mess in my clinical exam...just an awkward mess...we had 15min...I finished in 12...So we just sit in silence and be awkward for 3min... I'm probably going to get feedback that I was an awkward mess...The actress didn't really give me a lot to work with so I kind of froze up in a few places...I got the diagnosis right and gave a management plan, but I am probably not going to get a good evaluation and am now worried about that. sigh* Back to the regular scheduled programming of studying obs/gyne/uro. I wish they didn't do this to us the day before a final...because now I am just distracted with how poorly I just did. I bet you did better than you think! |

Champion 6656 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Inspired & Wet November Challenge part 2 Just stressed. I can't tell you the last time I was this stressed about an exam. I think I have written my fair share in the past and in general am pretty "meh, it goes how it goes"...this exam...ahhh...not so much. It's pretty knowledge heavy and sort of out of my realm I guess? Well the obs/gyne part...uro is pretty easy. Few more hours to review though, so that is good. Hope everyone else has a good day. |

The odds that I am getting thrown out of medicine over it are fairly low though, so I guess I should chill out. If I fail this final though, that is a bit of a different issue. Haha. I would have a meeting with the Dean if that happens...Meeting with the Dean=bad. |

Champion 6656 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Inspired & Wet November Challenge part 2 kcarroll - 2010-11-26 7:17 AM So I went for a swim this morning. The nastiness at the pool was pretty unbelievable. The HS swim team was practicing and had 4 lanes occupied. That leaves 8 lanes for the rest of us. Plenty. BUT, not enough for people to have their own lane. And yes, circle swimming might even be necessary. And you might even have to swim in the other pool. One woman actually jumped in with the kids, which would have been fine if she could have kept their pace. Caused a huge jam up. Then she threw a tantrum. People were shouting at the coach that she was using too many lanes. Hello, these kids are all paying members too. Nice example the adults were setting today. People are super territorial in swimming. It's kind of funny. I've gotten in arguements with people over lane direction, pace, doing fly (this dude literally yelled at me when I was 14--I was just doing a "staying in the rhythm of things" workout and started doing fly and he did not appreciate the splashing).. Sometimes at swim practice I have to swim with 3 other people in the same lane. Haha. I'm always in lane 2 too... How old were the kids? |

The kids are high schoolers and the team is very good, so they are fast. They are very hard workers in the pool, although a bit giggly/annoying in the locker room. At least the girls that is. I think some people's swim caps were too tight. In our masters groups, we often swim 3 or 4 to a lane. Get used to it. If you want a lane to yourself, don't come at peak times. |

I thought some woman brought her kids to swim with you...I get it now. Misread. I don't really get why you would pick the lane where it's fairly obvious that a group is doing a workout...and where people are obviously faster when there are other lanes...but that's just me... So your master's group doesn't book off lanes then, you just swim during public swim time? |

Depending on who shows up we are 3 or 4 to a lane most of the time. I am in the *friendly* lane. Today was a bonus swim for me. I'm trying to get 4 sessions in a week. The HS coach is also the master's coach, so if she sees me there she always gives me a workout and some feedback on form/technique etc. |

Pro 4482 NJ | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Inspired & Wet November Challenge part 2 mndymond - 2010-11-26 11:15 AM PS: Hi Kim! How was your thanksgiving? How was shopping the other day? Thanksgiving was good. I did a local turkey trot. Legs seem to have recovered from the marathon, but my cardio was carp. Guess that's what happens when you don't run for almost a month. I am trying to decide on my winter training plans. I want to focus on swimming and strength training (for the knee, per my orthopedists stern advice). Not sure how much running I'll be doing. Probably sherpa'ing in Carlsbad. Shopping was a success. Got my niece lots of cute clothes. We make a good pair. Left to her own devices, she wanders aimlessly around the store. I just put her in the dressing room and bring things back to try on. Saves a lot of time and results in actually purchasing something. |

She is in Austrailia for school right now But she picks out stuff and I try it on...and she says yes or no, then we repeat. Ya...running...as my logs state I have run 18km so far in Nov...probably get that up to 30 this weekend...Dec will be a hefty run month as far as getting volume back. Is your knee still bothering you from the marathon at all? |
