Deep tissue work for the most part...... I say no because you are pretty close to me in points Seriously though, log and count it if its exercise, or log and count the portion that is at least - thats the way I see it. I count stuff that I consider a workout in my mind, and don't for instance, count my cycle commutes because I don't class them as training. I agree with Rachel. Log the portion that can count as exercise. |

Extreme Veteran 667 Melbourne | Subject: RE: January Training and Nutrition Challenge ok, I started this thread knowing I wouldn't be claiming many points for the non-sugar days, however day 5 and I'm blown away at how little fruit and veg I get. Diet is going in for a big overhaul, I've been kidding myself somewhere along the way and really buying it. |

Haven't had any soda though It really is! I can do no soda, I can even do no cake if required but I really can't do without a sugar in my morning coffee. Having said that I'm heading off to make a cup of tea, with another sugar in it |

Just my opinion though, not sure what others will say. |

I didn't include any in my veggie totals so far. |

Master 2146 East Side of the Bay | Subject: RE: January Training and Nutrition Challenge I am a little confused on the no sugar / junk food. Did you mean no sugar in anything...like Abbie mentioned I had ketchup with my burger and my dried cranberries have some sugar in them. I haven't added sugar to anything and don't drink soda. So am I okay with that? Also I will often have a Luna Bar for an afternoon snack. It has chocolate in it. I am not eating it as a sweet- I do need the extra protein- (really, honest). If I had one today did I blow my no sugar/junk point? If yes, I'm going to go hit the last of the Christmas chocolate now! |

It's really more adding sugar to things like coffee or eating things like chocolate, candy, cookies, brownies, frosted flakes etc. |

I'll send you up my box of maltesers I still have left then, anything to help me with my point total and bring someone elses down... (Not bad to still have one chocolate item left from 3 I got) For me I need some sort of sugar, otherwise what really is the point of doing so much exercise? Just need to get some other veg and fruit in though to counter balance it I'm discovering. |

My "evil" MIL who happens to be a wonderfully fantastic baker of all things chocolate and has an unbeatable recipe for cranberry biscotti. At least I was thinking about the challenge and decided to eat all 6 cookies at once so there will be no temptation today. |

I should get points for 240 minutes because I did the activity. I don't think "points" would be sufficient motivation to get me outside for 4 hrs in January in Buffalo.... I'd need... I'd need... Hm. Nope. I can't think of anything I want that much. Maybe that's why I keep moving SOUTH. I think we should all move in with Yanti. Pick me, pick me, pick me!!! you're picked. come on over. Just told hubby we are moving...he said "good luck with that"...guess that means I am stuck in this cold weather. |

And I have just completed my 20-week HIM-to-couch-potato anti-training program. That's right... since I crossed the finish line at the Syracuse 70.3 in September, I have not ran, biked, or swam (swum?) ONCE. It's a little embarrassing, but I'm ready to jump back in. I'll get my info into the spreadsheet tonight. I'm setting the alarm for 5:30am tomorrow for my first treadmill run of the new tri season. A triathlete is re-born! Welcome back Bill! |
