givemashot - 2011-03-06 3:09 PM So, after posting back to the MIL, I decided to remove that whole thread from my page. I said what I had to say, in a very nice way, IMO. Then I removed the whole post about 10 minutes later. LOL.

I thought you were more than nice about it. Certainly more diplomatic than I might have been. That said, it's always good to have the option to delete. Sometimes I wish I could delete other parts of my life that easily.

A delete button would be a pretty nice feature.

Yeah, wish I could delete some of the pasta I just ate. Portion control button wasn't working. Well, technically there is a way to delete but would rather not go that route. There are some people I wouldn't mind deleting. Again, technically a way but it would probably result in prison and I'm not good with small spaces.

Uh... yeah... none of those seem like viable options. Prison would really cut down on your posting here in THE VILLAGE, and who would care for the fur people?

Good point re the fur people. They're rather picky. I would have more time to post in prison, but I don't know if I'd get BT access. Which raises a question. If prisoners do get internet access, and I believe they do, how many prisoners are on BT? Who do you think they are?

Ok. I think since I've met you, and you've met me   and you've met Neal, Melissa, Robin, Tom and Amy, and I've met Stacie that we are all ruled out. That would leave Bill and Kendra. Their talk about their jobs could just be a cover.

Maybe all of the missing Ghoulies are also in prison, they lost their internet privileges.

So my MIL has now posted a status update with an apology to me. Why does she have to do that inthe MOST public way? Why couldn't she post it on my wall, or send me a PM? Good grief. Grandstanding, making herself look good. But, I'm just irritated with her and seeing it through red tinted lenses, I'm sure. I'm going to ignore her. Seems like that's the only way to make it go away.

So Kim and I are going back to C'Bad. Anyone else coming? Should we rent on the beach this time, or stay at the same place? Oh, and Kim, I live at the end of the cul-de-sac, so when you get here to pick me up, go ahead and park in the driveway so you're not in the neighbor's way. (and don't forget to go pick up Ann on your way here. And Robin. And Neal. Oh heck, just send Vinnie and his cousin to kidnap pick everybody up for you.) See you soon.

Mmm, on behalf of your MIL -- maybe she doesn't understand the difference between posting via status update, on a wall, or PMing?

What would happen if you said something like, "Thank you for apologizing. But I would have preferred that you called me instead." (Assuming you want her to call you, that is.)

Whoops. I've revealed my presence here. I shall now go back to lurking quietly (with taser in hand).

LOL, Dee. You're too funny. Yeah, she's not the most tech savvy, but she knows better than to just publicly blurt out something like that as a status update. Like I said before, there's some history there, and she can be very passive aggressive.

Thanks for letting me vent, and offering support. It made my day much better, and helped me get over it.

MORNING GHOULIES!

well some weekend i had.  wont go into all the gorrie details, just one of those weekends when you go, WTH was that?

today is back to the grind.  i have to act like i have normal job today, go to my office, turn in paperwork, stay for a supervision meeting.

they used to hold supervision on another day in the week, but when they were asking if anyone wanted to make changes to the day and time, i piped up and said why dont we make supervision after we have to turn in our paperwork every week that way we can just come to the office once rather than twice.

they went for it!  why someone hadnt suggested this before im not sure.

works for me!!!

my role changed on one of my cases and now i only have ONE client that i see afterschool/early evening, so im only out ONE day week now!

woot!

the rest of the time/week is my own to schedule to do client contacts, collaborate with the school personnel and other professionals involved w my clients, treatment planning et al which is all work i do from home at my 'leisure'

its really a GREAT job especially with the boys.

as for training, its the every 4th week taper week this week which i actually contemplated skipping since it felt like i was just getting into the groove.

but then i thought wiser and decided i will follow the plan and take the taper.

the Aquatics center was slow yesturday so i was able to get a jump on my week and swam 900 yds. it was the 2nd workout that i felt like im FINALLY getting back in the groove.  WOO!

1.0 and 1.2 mile runs which seem like nothing to me now.

and then my two spin classes, Tues and Thurs.

i may throw some ab work in there just for kicks.

its all good.

Good morning, Ghoulies!

I'm off to a late start today. I was up and dressed  by 4:20 and as I was walking out to the kitchen for a quick breakfast before I headed off to the gym I noticed something didn't look right out the living room window. I went into the kitchen and turned on the light, but before I made breakfast I went and took a look at the front door. We had 3-4 inches of snow. I went back to the kitchen, turned out the light, and went back to bed.

I just got to work a few minutes ago. I need to leave early today, too, for an appt with my family doc.

I'm hoping to get a workout in this evening. I will try to get to the gym tomorrow morning.

Lucky girls.

Mine get squished every January.  Considering what my mamo found 5 years ago, I'm glad to hear that all my ghoulie friends are good about getting their's done.

Saturday I actually left my phone sitting in the family room all day.  I even went out twice running errands and did not have my phone.  Hubby told me to not get lost in the store.

I used to have weekends where I would turn my phone off and ignore it all weekend, I would also avoid my laptop, too. It seems like it is harder and harder to do that. I was getting texts from people all weekend. I have a friend that won't call my home phone, only my cell. In fact there are a lot of people who will try calling my cell phone before they call the home phone. My kids are out and about more with people other than just my husband and I, so I feel better about having my phone with me.

I know I need to walk away from it sometimes though.
