Had a humbling 30 mile bike ride yesterday and a slow swim this morning, looks like I have my work cut out for me the next 7 months. Maybe taking 2 months completely off from training wasn't such a great idea!

Your body needs rest.  It may take a little bit of time to get back into Ironman shape (I'm in the same boat) but you'll get there and be healthier for it.

Any one else starting training this week with the Fink Iron Fit program?  Kicked it off today with 2600 in the pool (in sets).  One down, many many many many many many more to go.

I'm using IRON FIT, but I have decided to wait 4-5 more weeks before the official kickoff.  I want to use one more month focusing on weight's and just other "fun" stuff.

Curious on the IRON FIT plan - if we are already doing more distance(s) than what the plan starts at - do we drop down and follow the plan's suggested time(s)>

Okay...officially registered now. Gonna be a long trek out from California, but my brother and I have thrown the gauntlet down on each other: go sub 11. (we both did AZ in November and I went 11:36, he went 11:53. For me....there is no off season this year.

If your base is already up there, I wouldn't think you'd have to back off but maybe just maintain until it's time to start building up.  But having no experience with doing this plan or even being able to jump into a plan midway, that's just my guess.

Sure wish I would have started this much earlier in my life.  Sub 11 is a dream!  I am hoping for sub 13 at 51 years old.
