Oh how about:

cgregg - god of Culinary Delight.

I think that might be pitt's role.  I r amateur.

OK then how about Pitt and cgregg - Twin gods of Culinary Delight.  Pitt doubles as the Scotch God as well.

The amount of stupidity I am seeing at work lately has me in fear for our society.

Don't read Cup o Joe, then.

No the sad part is there is much more intelligent things going on.

We just shipped a bad part to FORD.... funny part is the machine I have programmed. Locks up the part. Puts up a big Red Screen. Marks the part with Red paint and a supervisor has to come over and reset it so they can run.

It failed insertion force on a bushing... The bushing was undersized and fell right through. Not the normal 5000 lbs.f to insert.

Yet the operator and the supervisor (took touch up paint, painted over the red with black) still packed it and shipped it. Ford went to Mount it and the control arm fell off.

I just sat in a meeting asking me how to program it better because we have not done a good enough job for the operator and clearly he still packed it so I must not have designed the machine good enough.

IT PAINTS THE BLACK PART WITH A GIANT READ DOT  and forces a supervisor to overide.

GRRRRRRRR

And we pay the guy running the machine $23/hr plus benefits and pension.

I want to punch a baby right now that is how mad I am.

i am TIREDDDD.  we have had icky weather all week and now "Winter Storm Iago" is coming (wtf??)

please motivate me to go run rather than go home and read in bed with my doggies.

What do your dogs like to read?

we are reading the game of thrones series right now.

I gave up on that series like 3 or 4 books in.  I just got tired of it.  I hope it goes better for you.

I have the last book in the Wheel of Time series sitting next to my bed that I have not been able to get to yet.

Just started the last WoT; I've become less enamoured over time, but I have to see it through.  Gotta say though, anything by Neal Stephenson has become my favorite.

I just sat in a meeting asking me how to program it better because we have not done a good enough job for the operator and clearly he still packed it so I must not have designed the machine good enough.

How about this. Add a container in the machine providing easy access to black paint and a brush. If anybody tries to reach for the brush within 30 seconds of the machine being reset, a electrical shock will hit the offending target and electrocute him/her. The machine then will load up the corresponding video into youtube, ensuring millions of hits, and making money for the company.

How much electricity? <y first thought was a lethal amount. But I think it will be funny to set it like a tazer. I'm sure that anybody that will paint over a faulty piece and ship it is stupid enough to fall for the trick over, and over, and over...

Agree. Loved Cryptonomicon and Snow Crash (two completely different books). Have you read any of the Baroque Cycle books? Any good?
