Judi Thinking good thoughts that it happens for ya.... think think think... Thanks,Cat Got a few peeps lind up for references today. Told one of our guys who works FT for the Richmond fire and PT at the hospital (formerly ER, now in angio) about pushing adenocard out in triage while the pt was on the EKG machine last week...man some days I hink we are about a half step from losing the nursing licenses for all the stuff we do. I mean, I tossed the EKG at a doc and TOLD HIM what I was about to do and was not questioned in the least--nor did he see the pt until I had given rounds of the med. If the guy had crashed they would have been all over me like white on rice...I know I'm whining about work again...Today was a 6 on the suck -ometer scale. Shoveled lunch in about 15 min before reporting off...It was either that or pass out on my long commute home It does sounds pretty tough to me... the complete uninitiated into all things medical... Im sure the patient would appreciate your efforts too! |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: They Who Shall Not Be Named (Twisnibbins) V Happy, um, Monday? Just four more days until the weekend! (Why are you throwing things at me?) Been wondering what all the teams have been discussing? Here's an update! Moscateers: Saling4 has been drawing up plans to build a pool for Dee, and a swim-up-bar for Kristen. Thanks Saling - you're the greatest! Kristen's dryer has been doubling as a UFO. (Or perhaps a UFO has been doubling as her dryer?) Comet_The_Dog has a feeling that his wife wouldn't appreciate a new dryer for Christmas. Vigilantes: Rmaldon240 stayed home to watch the Thanksgiving Day parade on TV while eating pie, ice cream and cookies. Irongirl39 walked enough to burn off some broccoli calories. Fielding is in Malibu interviewing people affected by the fires. ScotinSeattle won't reveal the contents of a package sent to her, but we know it contained lots of chocolate! (Good thing is wasn't hot outside.) Turkey Terrors: TriChica is looking for advice on fixing an unhappy rotator cuff. Gygyhawk went to the beach, while Artemis stayed home to cook and watch TV. Nhmorgan met all his November goals, and decided this merited some Thanksgiving gluttony. 5forFighting: Rzzqb8 tried to run, but discovered she'd brought two right-footed shoes! (Maybe she should have read the Turkey Terrors recent thread about barefoot running!) In an ironic twist, Rzzqb8 announced last week that the only way she could meet her weightloss goal was to come down with a stomach virus. Take a guess what happened to her this week. Rkreuser had an unfortunate run-in with some gym equipment. Twisnibbins: During the last 26 days, this team (and its visitors) have written more than 8263 posts. Yes, you read that correctly. The only way to keep up with this team is to read a separate thread, "The Chronicles of Twisnibbins, aka Nibbins Notes" in which Team Captain Beth writes thread summaries. Hector did his first Tri, and was rewarded with pics. Kendra has learned how to make her phone vibrate. And Max showed off his nail polish collection. Wild Hippos: Cat went to the dentist, and wasn't happy about it. To make it worse, she had to cancel her physio and massage appointments, so she didn't get to see many hot guys. However, Reno8 offered to send her a picture for her new photo frame. Baowolf went to see Beowulf, and wasn't impressed. Owl_Girl will be getting married in January, but still plans on participating in the December Swim Challenge. AmbulanceDriver had a vacation in North Carolina, and just signed up for her first Tri. Hard Core Tri Corps: Team Captain BunnyB is taking a cruise vacation! SoFreshSoClean swam over 5500km in one day. He now needs to decide if he wants to do well in the December Swim Challenge or on his exams. MrsUSMC has purchased a few adult-only items. (No, not what you think. Or if it is, she didn't tell us!) Zipp1 commented on the team's post count for the day, and wondered if Turkey-coma had ended. |

I think the only goal I'm going to make is the pilates/swim Sorry, guys, but the Thanksgiving turkey made me lazy! I updated your goals on the spreadsheet. |

I only need to swim once more to meet my swim goal, but need to get in 11.5 miles before friday. Going to do 5 of it tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing good! |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: They Who Shall Not Be Named (Twisnibbins) V milaminute - 2007-11-26 9:07 PM Hello all... I am starting to catch up now so you can expect several totally random posts from me in a row. I enjoy that . Kristen, congrats on your 1,000th post which was clearly a post of substance. California roll rocks and all I can say is that I was born and raised in Maryland and haven't had hardshells in a year... I'm in withdrawl. For the amusement of others, as you know, Maryland and Virginia border one another... is it any surprise that, according to their mottos, Virginia is for Lovers and Maryland is for Crabs? I think not.
enders_shadow - 2007-11-26 3:22 PM Hello & Happy Monday, Nibs! THIS IS MY 1000TH POST! I am back safely in Atlanta & have approximately 14 days to go - not counting the hours yet - but I'm getting there... Since I promised you (last night) a post of substance for my 1000th, here goes. (I'm not promising the substance is good, but it's more than post-padding.) I would like to extol the virtue of California rolls. I'm a midwestern girl and haven't quite come over to the darkside where I can eat raw fish, I mean heck - you can't really get "fresh" fish there. When we moved east, I started eating cooked fresh shellfish (mmmm MD blue crabs) but I still haven't gotten to a place where I feel ok about eating raw fish. Thus, the beauty of California rolls in my life. Where else am I going to put my wasabi? OK, I think that's enough substance for today. Back to brainless posting. Kristen Random posts --- um, would half of us even notice? Actually, thanks for YOUR post, which is a summary of everything that I've missed in NibbinsVille. (Yes, I could go read Beth's updates. Are you making a point?) Hahahaha, love your state mottos comments. Had never thought about it. Wonder what NC is good for. Maybe I shouldn't ask.... |

Wanted to do the half mary in VA beach in March but have to chaperone a field trip that weekend. Still looking for a spring half mary--Dismal Swamp has been suggested but I haven't looked in to it yet. I saw the "I love the Tavern" got moved to June, a guy I know from work did it last year--got pretty beat up on the bridge when someone cut in front then stopped quickly. Looking at the Charlottesville OLY in July, and still want to do Patriot HIM in September but I'm questioning if I'll be able to pull off that much training. I really want to do the mary next Nov, if not it will be the half mary for sure. It would be a blast to train/race with someone I know so when you're permanently in Richmond drop me a PM and we can see what we could do... What I really need to do is get interviewed for the other job so I can determine how/when to train around the work schedule cause I am geting out of that ER by new years if it's the lasT thing I do.
