Yes, I'll get right on that. I'll add it to my to do list tomorrow. I live such a glamorous life. Good job. Skip 1, 2, 4, and 5 though. Heck, just order out for some pizza. Awaiting results. (of picture taking, not pizza eating!!!!!)
- 3 loads of laundry No worries, I usually do skip most domestic chores. I'm good like that! |

Pro 4216 Sous Mon Diadème | Subject: RE: Whips, Cattle Prods & Tiaras (Four-Is-More Challenge) Slugger - 2008-09-25 3:23 AM Well, the phone call went...um, really well...until it didn't. I called the guy, and he was all excited to talk to me (which I still can't get over - how freakin' cool!) and he immediately said he wanted to invite some other people to the meeting, which of course meant the people doing the job search. He says, Email me when you are available and a blurb about what you are looking for. Um, yeah, I don't have internet at home. So I drive down into town to steal someone's internet, mission successful, drive back home. Snuggle into bed with the phone right by my head... Get phone call. No dice. Turns out I didn't make clear that I'd already applied for the job. They can't meet with me because it would violate the rules. I have to behave like everyone else. Grr. I should tell them I'm on a whole team full of people who whip, taser, and prod with glee and that we don't really believe in behaving! Anyway, my first real attempt at networking and I screw it up. The guy was super great about it (YAY! future contact!), but now I don't know if I should contact the people, now that I know who they are. See, the whole reason I didn't contact them directly was that I didn't know WHO to contact! I feel weird being like, "Um, yeah, sorry about that, but, um, hey, wanna give me an interview? Heh heh, um, yeah." But still, I'm gonna contact them once I figure out what to say. The main dude is out of the country (why are they ALWAYS out of town during job searches?????????? This is like the fifth or sixth time this has happened to me!), but I don't really know what the progress is, so I'm gonna ask. Fingers crossed that they haven't started interviewing yet and I missed it, just that they are taking their damn sweet time about it. Thanks for the crossed fingers, toes, etc.! OK, so the good news is that your name is out there floating around and there's actually a lot to be said for name recognition when sorting through potential candidates, assuming there's a positive association. If it's cause you're a convicted felon, not so much, but in this case, I suspect the networking will work to your advantage . |

I was too busy playing with my little guy and fell short of quality BT time yesterday. That and hubby is STILL home and I had to drop everything and go pick him up. Well, he would have liked me to drop everything but I was busy so I told him to get a ride home. He wasn't happy. Oh well. |

Now this is one of those good problems to have. Coffee wine????? That is my two favorite things in life combined into one. Anxiously waiting to hear how the tea wine is. |
