I don't think there are many of us around right now

hmmm... long weekends all around Im guessing...

How is the tri  planning going for the weekend?

Oh... It's been interesting... I think if my co-worker thought she could she would've canned my asst...  THough I've gotta admit... the doof wrote down shirt sizes and LANE assignments and NOT bib #'s on the bags....  kind of made it difficult to figure out what bag belonged to who...

Yeah, we've taken her off of that job

lol - Im guessing she has never done a sports event before? That certainly added to the work for you  

What boggles my mind is that SHE is the one that typed in the lane numbers on the spread sheet... so she KNEW that those were not the BIB #'s....

UGh!!!  This is the second mistake she makes in two weeks... I'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't be trying to weed her out.... oh excuse me, third mistake...
I'm thinking hard... and I already know who I would like as a replacement...hmmm????

there is that option... my thoughts would be:

1) How young is she? If its first job she might just not be switched on and need a little bit of a 'push'

2) Maybe she has NO attention to detail and is therefore in TOTALLY the wrong job 

3) She needs to be more scared of you/feel the implications of making mistakes (like missing a night out fixing the,)

^^^ Obviously Im assuming she is 'young' 

Actually.... she's semi-retired... she used to be in charge of the inmate finances at the jail (for about 6 years or so)... then her husband passed away right before retirement... she's a friend of one of our purchasing agents and was refered to me by her... she was just looking for some part-time work... the pay really sucks...
I thought for sure she would've caught on fast... I don't think she worked much during her primetime...

How have things been at home since the flat mate got back???

Flat mate has been behaving himself... It hink he has an attack of the guilts going on or something...

Crazy day? Yesterday was a little... I ahve a work review this morning so Im doing the prep now that I should have done aleady... not that there is a lot to do but Im trying to get motivated for it! 

Reading your blog... I forgot that you're actually a day ahead...  Hope today goes well...

Oh, did I mention the part about 100 of our 150 donated water bottles being stolen???

Tonight I feel like I'm doing detective work trying to find someone who might have seen somehting...

No! Thats insane!!!! Do yu have any thoughts on the matter?

Hi Nibbs!!

I made it to Seattle very late last night (11:00 pm Pacific).  I almost didn't get here because we sat on the runway for AN HOUR in Richmond waiting for a weather redirect.  Hubby and I had to SPRINT through the Detroit airport and just made the flight.  Lots of fun...

What's important is that we are here.   

Thanks... just over half an hour to go til review time... Im sure it wont take all that long...

Most of the time my manager seems like a fan of me so Im pretty lucky, and its not a formal process this time so no suit or stand up presentation to him and the boss about how great I am, what Ive achieved etc... (and weve already negotiatied that salary stuff for now so this is setting up the targets for next years full review... very important!)

Its on my list for this mythical USA trip that one day I will take out of my head nad try to execute...  

We are visiting some friends and going to a video game convention this weekend.

I only had a baby coffee this morning (with my cake for breakfast - banana bread) and my tummy wasnt a fan... I need to clean up my act nutritionally again
