So IVe got to ask.. whats it like running in those boots? Are they designed for running in?

It sucks, they're heavy, and no they are not designed for running.

That is what I mean by boots and uts, usually at green cotton shirt though. Weighs between 5 and 8 lbs of cloths and footwear. Normal training cloths is around 1-3lbs. Big difference. Plus you lose all comfort.

Yuck... guess it teaches you to get used to being uncomfortable but yuck!

kaqphin - 2008-10-10 7:50 PM Maybe if I had a Navy person to hold my hand when I ran I would be better at it...

I've got some pics with some of the Marines holding hands as well. Didn't want to clutter the thread with a bunch of pics though.

I really dont mind the pics at all... and that on is 'cute' (take that how you want!)

I think it is a good pic, but it's not of me. Funny enough that is Sgt Travis with that Girl. Every time they called for him I had to remind myself that they where talking to the guy with the last name Travis not the First.

haha - I really like the look of Sgt Travis (is that inappropriate/disrespectful?)

I hink that means Beth's liberty with the next Dark Arts notes will include you having a thing for men in uniform! (DARN, NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!)

Haha and muppets... and Im sure some other creative things... I can handle it!

Besides i never MEET men in uniform....

Maybe we need to find you a man in uniform then!

My brother complained about running in them too.  Can't imagine much support for the arches or flexibility in the sole.

Exactly.

Lots of yucky feet wearing them then I imagine....

I guess sneakers wouldnt exactly be work safe though

Yeah. Those boots have been known to collapse arches. Not a good thing for running.

So I guess a lot of army guys with orthotics?

well, I live really close to Fort Lee...but those guys are just enlisted, not many officers.  In a couple years when they finish expanding Fort Lee it will have some officers--maybe some men older that 20 but younger than dirt!

Yeah Fort Lee is mostly newly enlisted guys.  Right out of Basic Training/Boot Camp and in they Military Occupational Speciality (MOS) School.  I went there for my first MOS back in 2000.
