Or a Personal Trainer... or a Spin Instructor... LOVE LOVE LOVE! Do. It. You could probably become a part-time spin instructor, and teach classes before or after "werk."
Yes, yes you could start by doing it early in the morning before werk... and then you'll start doing it after werk once or twice a week... and then you'll need the weekend crowd to adore you, too... and then you'll be a race director for indoor tris at your gym... and then you'll be running the group fitness department and you won't be doing that werk that you started with, just being paid to You know, hypothetically speaking, of course.
Im not sure i have 'race director' in me... might see how my little group of ladies at work goes first... Ummm... I am gonna have to disagree with that. I think you have race director all over you! Heck, it's easier than organizing a challenge . Seriously, I'm lucky because we have a tried and true formula so I don't have to do it from scratch, I just have to make sure I can put all the pieces into play, get the volunteers and space, etc. Id love to get qualified for coaching and then get the chance to set up a womens tri group... that would be like an ideal world! Would need HELP though... admin person and money person (not my areas) |

I remember that some people had 5 or 6 goals. that's right, I remember now - didn't some people even have goals like 'kiss my wife every morning'? LOL! Heh, that was Max. Wasn't exactly true but nothing like trying to explain that one. triguynewbie - 2008-10-30 8:34 PM D001 - 2008-10-30 8:31 PM I have learned they are listening when you think they are not. There is nothing like having your children tell on you to other people when they don't realize it.triguynewbie - 2008-10-30 8:28 PM Don't say your kids never listen to you. kaqphin - 2008-10-30 8:25 PM My middle daughter told one of them in a very matter of fact tone, "I guess you didn't see the score then." Which is something she overheard me telling a friend on the phone about and hour prior. triguynewbie - 2008-10-31 11:16 AM First of all who heckles little girls Oh my goodness! I would have been sooooooooo mad! Soooo true!! I frequently call one of my really good friends and say, "I just want to give you a heads up... don't ever let your daughter catch wind of any of your family secrets because she will roll you right under the bus!". She repeats just about everything she overhears on a very regular basis when I am driving the dance carpool . Heh . My friend and I make our rheumotologist appointments at the same time when we can. If you've never been to a rheumotologist, let me assure you that if you are my age, you are significantly younger than the rest of the people in the waiting room. So my friend and I go so our kids can play together while we wait and we can watch each others' kids during each appointment. It works out great. So one day we go and there are about 10 not so very spring chickenish patients in the waiting room. They are totally loving on our kids who are chatty and adorable (of course). So my friend's daughter starts talking about her dog with this lil'ol'lady. The lady says, "Oh, is your dog a BIG dog or a LITTLE dog?" and the the kid, who was maybe 3 at the time, says "little". My friend, who obviously didn't know better than to let it go... first kid and all... pipes in and says, "No sweetie, she is a big dog... in fact what do we call her? We call her a big ___ " and waited for the kid to fill in the blank with the word "pooch". However, her daughter responded with "daddy calls her a big pain in the a$$". Coulda heard a pin drop. Classic.

True but what do you do when you have to work late.. its not like you have a lot of forewarning - which really only leaves mornings... Precisely. Of course, just be sure not to notice the amount of sleep I Did I mention the part about overseeing the indoor and outdoor cycling program and getting to lead group rides while being paid? Yeah, OK, I'll stop bragging about my (fantasy) job (that I don't really have but if I did boy would it be cool) job now . Ummmm... yes, yes, you're right. I fixed it. That was just a really big typo where I forgot most of the words. Mmmm... funny you should mention the "hypothetical" bike. I just got a hypothetical email with some hypothetical information about the hypothetical zipps and the hypothetical SRAM red components. Boy that is some hypothetical job . But I am feeling a little grumpy that they haven't provided me with a tiara. I always have to bring my own, durn it. BYOT. |
