Nice job on the run!  I got my swim completed!  Now only bike and strength to work on.  Cram time!

got another climb in. It was short due to the discovery of large blisters on my toes it makes climbing very painful. So I went home after an hour and now am off for a ride to school then a swim at school, then a ride home after classes. After that I hope to get in another swim and that will make my bike 110% I have climbing and runs and swims for tomorrow!

Thanks everyone!! I am totally psyched about the interview, can hardly think of anything else. I am completely riding high on the tone in the guy's voice when he said, "We were very impressed with your resume."

Of course, this means I am completely ignoring a very stressful, important, and horrid meeting in the morning. First time I've seen my former spouse in almost 15 months, essentially since I walked out. *sigh* I'm gonna be thinking of you guys (and how I can tri now that I've left that dump of a marriage) to get me through it.

Joe, I thought of you the other day - just scored some new climbing shoes. I'm pretty psyched. They are really indoor shoes (Boreal Fusion soles), but I'm gonna use them on the little crag down the road until the snow drives me inside. My climbing partner comes back after a month away, yay!

I'm swimming this am.  I am supposed to do a 9 mile run for my half marathon training.  I am just not feeling it.  At all.  Like I'd rather poke myself in the eyes than run.  Especially 9 miles.  So, I am not going to.  I might do a shorter run this afternoon but I am suffering severe burn out on running.  I'm gonna back off and then pick it up again for the October run challenge.  I can't wait for this half marathon to be over!!!!!  If I hadn't already registered, I wouldn't be doing it!

Ugh, that sounds utterly icky. I guess there is something to be said for gritting your teeth and doing it. Still, hope you can get back into the groove and cruise a bit.

Hmmm... are you typically sore from doing the push-ups? If so then you might not be giving yourself enough recovery time even throughout the week; with that said, I'm guessing you do this at work so likely do have 2 days off from it. If I'm reading it correctly, you're doing 104 per day. I'd say if the scaled back version feels pleasantly easy at 80 then look at gradually adding back in until you're back up to where you started... don't necessarily feel like you need a full week of recovery from push-ups, but definitely give your muscles some time to rebuild. Afterall, the real gains in training come during recovery.

Well, I was getting...I don't know how to say it, but uncomfortable seems to fit better than sore. I felt weaker each time I did it, not stronger. It didn't exactly hurt, I just couldn't do them as well. I was gritting my teeth just to get through the last few. And the two real ones were getting crappier and crappier.

And yeah, two recovery days a week. I've been wondering if maybe I would be better off doing twice as many half as often - so doing 20 every two hours rather than 10 every hour? Or maybe having M-W-F be bigger days with T-Th lighter days? I need a training plan for my pushups! LOL!!

So far, backing down to 80+8 is MUCH more comfortable. I feel like I'm engaging my core again rather than doing anything I could to get through them. Maybe I just ramped up too fast.
