Zipp are getting closer.  I can smell them.

I got all my tire stuff yesterday; x3 Vittoria EVO CX Corsa 320 tpi tires, 80mm valve stems, tubular glue, pit stop and carbon break pads.

Man I am getting so excited to ride these new wheels.  I’ll post picture for sure.

Good advice! Thanks!!!!  The quads ARE weak...so I just gotta give them time. =)

KWin - 2010-04-08 4:53 PM Hey Witty City,
Next time your knee is hurting on the bike, shift to an easier gear and see if the pain goes away. I had knee pain on the bike and it turned out to be from working in too hard of a gear when I didn't have the leg strength to do it yet--it put too much pressure on my knee. If I went to an easier gear and did fast cadence, the pain went away. So, gradually, I've worked to strengthen the muscles in my legs so I can push harder (like on hills) with no pain.  Hope this helps.

We need to see the pics of all this new stuff.  I was just dream shopping online at R&A drooling over zipps and random bikes.  Nothing like a teacher work day when you're done with all your work.

I live less than a mile from R&A! Dream shopping is the best.

PennState - 2010-04-08 11:22 AM Sorry Josh we've turned away a few already. I would live to have you in, so I will keep you on a wait list. I'm just trying to make sure that I do an ok job for the 12 in there and not spreading myself too thin. I apologize Josh

Now you've done it Fred - I have no choice but to beat you at LP to prove I don't need mentoring

No need to apologize.  I'll settle for log access so I know what I'm up against.

Very cool about R&A!

It's a fun place to go, though they are known as having the worst service in NYC so they scare a lot of people. They helped me out with a saddle once last year and were decent to me so I thought about getting my new bike there but I got such a better deal online so I went for it. It's hard to support the LBS when you get massive internet discounts!

After my fitting I'm taking the new roadie for a spin. Too bad I'm not in the 600 challenge

OK so as far as I can figure out the 600 mile challengers are;

Dream Chaser
PennState
coredump
Monty
JoshKaptur
tasr
lesleyann

First person to 600 miles gets a Gold Star and a Smiley Face Sticker.  All that make it to 600 miles in the month of April are winners.

Did I miss anybody?  DC you take it from here.

Dude I'd be more worried about being beaten in the 600 mile challenge than LP lol

That's what I was thinking.

So Monday we need to post our current bike mileage for the month?

Yeah definitely don't ramp up too quickly. Too bad that R&A is known for bad service. My lbs is great that way.

I would have gladly joined as I'm trying to put in more time on the bike and less running, and after the weekend should be sort of on track, but I have a stupid 4-day business trip that falls over a weekend so I'm going to have a really light week at the end of the month

Please do not check my logs to monitor my 600 mile progress this week.  I swear - NEXT WEEK I'm gonna take charge of my schedule.

I bet I'm winning on most beer consumed while not working towards 600 miles.  Had a date with das boot.
