I didn't get involved with the politcal debates, candor, and/or banter.  I could care less, but I did learn much from many of you.

I want to say congratulations to our new President-elect.

However, one thing did bother the heck out of me last night while watching the news, though:
1). The media wh0r3s that had their mugs being shown - i.e. "THE" Rev. Jesse Jackson and Oprah Winfrey, for starters.
2). The media that had to show/play up those media wh0r3s and providing them the spotlight.  The media is quite the blame on this - especially FOX news.

*okay, that were 2 things*

Let the man do his work without their presence, PUH LEASE!

Seeing Jesse Jackson weep like that confused me... is he still planning to cut off Obama's jimmies?

Oprah isn't a media "ho."  The Media is her b*t*h.  Seriously.

You can't blame them for being at his rally, and it's not like they were mugging for the camera.  It was the camera-dude who was filming them.  Just because they're famous doesn't mean that should hide behind a mask.

You can bet that if McCain had won, they'd be showing the faces of his famous supporters too.  It's the mass media and how it works. They have to put up the shiny objects to keep the viewers watching.

The media got the person elected that they wanted.  They shouldn't need any more bling.  If McCain had won the media would have had to take day off so they could mourn.   The media coverage has been so one sided during this whole election.  Terrible!

surfwallace - 2008-11-05 11:56 PM I don't think Jesse was searching out the spotlight last night. He seemed to be just having a very personal emotional moment chewing on his finger. And like has been said about Oprah and any celebrity, I don't think they went looking for a camera. I think the cameras went looking for them. I can't fault Oprah or anyone else for the emotion they expressed. It's not like we are talking about Matthew McConaughey stalking the University of Texas football team...alright, alright, alright.

I Might buy that with Oprah but not even a little bit when it comes to Jessie.  He is  not ot be trusted.  He and Al Sharpton are a couple of media mongers.  Put them both in a bag, shake them up, and you couldn't pull one honest person out of it.

"THE" Rev. Jesse Jackson

Can I just ask, why did you put "the" in quotes and caps? He is The Rev. Jesse Jackson, it's how the title works. I think you are trying to get at something I'm missing.

Anywho, carry on...

It's okay to have a great dislike for Oprah and Jesse Jackson. Personally, I have no issues with Oprah, and I liked Jesse Jackson until the illigitimate child thing.

But to call them media ho's because they were in a crowd of 100,000 for a monumentous event in American political history is a little weak, don't you think? I only saw them standing in the crowd, and I didn't see either of them talking to a media outlet for an hour after Obama's speech. Did either of them do anything that I missed?
