Subject: RE: Detroit Free Press/Flagstar Bank Marathon : Official Thread well done bt crew!!! It is very hard to meet anyone in the dark especially everybody dress like a runner! (or homeless... for some of use who ditch clothes, like me ) I enjoy every monent of it. the cheer crowd, the course, all the runners who run with me, the volunteer at the aid stations, the bridge, the feeling of going home crossing the Canada border, the river side that I used to run everyday, the tunnel, rencen, cobo hall, the cheering crew along the way (CureGirl you rock! ) downtown, belle isle, waterfront... seeing the local cheering infront of the urban ruin make me feel more attached to Detroit. It is a wonderful experience. The best monent is the time I finish, my wife put the medal on my neck! (she is the volunteer at the finish line ) I finished 4:48:xx and couldn't be happier! My "missing feet" prevent me to do any reporting. I will have race report later. RIP to the unfortunate runners. Godspeed. |
