Champion 6539 South Jersey | Subject: RE: playlists This is my current trainer workout list. It's not my everyday listening music (although all stuff I like), just things I like to hear whilst riding the trainer. I don't listen to music when running or swimming, or biking on the road. Regular 86 | Subject: RE: playlists There are two categories of songs on my "Go go go!" playlist:songs that are motivating, and songs I just like. Also podrunner.com has free mixes that are techno music at a high tempo for an hour or so. They also have interval mixes, again just techno, but if you like dance music, chek it out. Master 1467 Small Town | Subject: RE: playlists After you get a few gig's of music loaded to your computer and start using iTunes for your iPod, try using the new 'genius' feature. iTunes takes your database of songs and compares it all the other lists of users' songs and then will formulate a playlist based on the songs only on your computer - it's a pretty sweet feature! I use it regularly and the program does a decent job putting together a solid list of songs with the same basic tempo and music style... Enjoy the new iPod! |

I dig me some urban contemporary, can you tell? I like your style. I have a playlist on my itunes that gives me a bit of "swagger" in my step. The new Ludacris CD is a lot of fun as well. Check it out. Estelle has a new album out too. |

Member 69 | Subject: RE: playlists These all look great, thanks everyone! General rule: any playlist that comes with a disclaimer such as "I know I'll get made fun of for this..." is sure to be a hit! |

Iron Donkey 38643 , Wisconsin | Subject: RE: playlists My iTune list is too big, but the main ones are from Tool, different eras of Black Sabbath, Motorhead - okay, most of the "heavy", fast stuff. Then I have some old Moody Blues, Train's Calling All Angels, Angel City, Rik Emmett (post-Triumph), Warren Zevon, Collective Soul, Rush, Robin Trower, The Doobie Brothers (pre-Malcolm McDowell, who sucked) and ZZ Top. |

Drop in an "album" by any of the following, DJ DB Dieselboy Paul Oakenfold DJ Dara Crystal Method (if you like your techno to kick it old skool) GAURAUNTEED to get your movin'. Trance from Oakenfold is about 140bpm, the others will run you up around 160+. Good pace, few lyrics to get your singing and out of rhythm, and when you DO get into a rhythm, you can STAY there. |

Thanks for this recommendation! This is great! Also, to the OP, if you have itunes, you can go to itunes essentials, click on my groove and search for one of the "total workout" playlists or one of the "running" playlists. I haven't downloaded them but I liked the lists and I can pick and choose without having to search very hard. |

Veteran 250 Maine | Subject: RE: playlists I just got the radio add-on to my Ipod Nano and I love it. It allows you to set a bunch of stations and easily flip through them during a run. The headphone cord is no about 8 feet long, but it's worth it. I have over a thousand songs in itunes and I'm pretty much sick of all of them so the radio is a great break from the same old songs. When I do hear a tune that I really like, I go download it and keep it on the Nano for a later time. Bands on my Nano right now: Van Halen Rush Linkin Park Night Ranger kiss Eddie Veddor sparks the rescue 30 sec to mars Hinder Kenny Chesney 3 doors down Iron Maiden Saving Able Ratt--- yes Ratt! Micheal Smith-- new Hallelujah live---different but cool! |
