great site. just joined. sorry if this has been asked before -

i figured out the whole import thing - the couch to sprint plan is the one im geared up for - so no problems there. what i wanna do is swap the bike/run days. instead of run and swim in the same day, i would like to bike and swim in the same day. is there an easy way to do this?

thanks!

Unfortunately, there isn't a straightforward way to do that kind of swapping right now. A swap function is on the list of improvements to make this year. I trained for my first tri using the Swim focussed Couch to Sprint and made the same kinds of changes to my plan manually. It took a while to do.

Here's what you can do that's semi-automated and will minimize the amount of tweaking needed:

  1. Use the Move Function to move your planned Run data One year ahead. This will act as a holding place. Note the first day that had a run/swim combination.
  2. Do the same thing with the Bike data. Move it exactly one year ahead, noting the date of the first bike session.
  3. Move the Bike data back to this year, with a target starting date of the date you noted in step one.
  4. Move the run data back to this year with a target starting date of the date you noted in step two.

If you make a mistake, you can always reimport the plan and start over. Also, some of the days at the end that include bricks may need to be tweaked if they get moved too, but it shouldn't be too bad.

Let me know if I can clarify this or if you'd like me to do it for you.

We're glad you like the site. And never worry here about asking question because you think it may have been asked before. Whatever the issue, if you're wondering about it, it's a safe bet there are other people who are too.
