I think I have invented a new term..."race report drafting".  In other words, race in races with Velorider and direct people to her report as she kicks butt in this department...great report Velo.

Welcome to triathlons markgent and congrats trix on an awesome time (despite your on your bike).  Hey, whatever happened to Yosel...he started this huge thread anyway?

Here is my report as I too will not make the bonus (locked up 2nd with no shot of 1st).  Best of luck racers!

Haha...  I like the "race report drafting"!  For those of us who just started doing this, reading others race reports, especially as thorough as Velorider is a great learning tool... Awareness of problems we might run into, and what to expect...   Figure, maybe another newbie might learn from me like I did from others

HeatmizerKW - 2009-08-18 6:48 AM So I came home and jumped in the ocean for a swim using my new red fish cap.  By the time my swim was over I completely forgot I had it on.  I was starting to get a complex at all of the deep looks I was getting until a Japanese tourist came up from behind and asked for a photo and pointed to my head.  It was then when I realized it was not my work in process "tri body" that was getting the attention but my fish cap.  Bravo Multisport for the stunt and I cannot wait until my local sprint here in Key West when I can sport the fish!

So is it fair to say that the Trilogy 2 run was also not 3 miles as originally posted but more like the 3.25?

I know I cried about the silly cap before the race but it turned out to be a really high quality product...I wore it yesterday swimming at tri-beach with Velo...wonder what they'll for the bonus race?

I hope they have the same swim caps but they decided to rotate them...I mean...maybe I can get the goofy Nemo instead the green agressive fish....in that way....we can have the collection...LOL   I like the blue ones....

Ok Guys....

Who is racing this Weekend (Sept. 20th ) the Bonus Race of this Trilogy Series???

I'm in...

It will be like usual in Crandon Park...that mean... the swim leg in the usual huge toilet (400 mts)...10 miles bike ride...and...3.1 miles run...

I really like the other place...it's a nice swim leg...same bike course...great shady run...but...the other place (Crandon Park) has an advantage...nice parking lot...restrooms....showers....and....after the Race...the area where is the Award Ceremony is nice...fresh...and...shady...

Any thoughs???

See ya there and Good Luck to everyone who is racing this one...!!!

My thoughts are that I'm happy that I'm not swimming in the sewage canal at Crandon Park this weekend, in preparation of next weekend's Escape Miami race.

But I will agree that I did prefer the Trilogy 2 and 3 location better overall.  Maybe it was the shortened bike course that gave me greater competitive advantage, lol?

Good luck to you and everyone else in this weekend's race.  I'll be training for Escape.

I hope they change the swim course slightly so we don't have that horrible 20 yard dash to the first buoy then a left turn. that was the roughest swim I've ever done...I took several kicks and elbows to the head. we should start out in the water like they did for tri-miami then just a straight shot down the beach. I guess I like the other location better too even though I prefer the longer bike course. you can't beat that short run to T1 and the shade during the run.

I'm doing Escape too so this race will be more like a training session rather than trying to set a PR.

anyone get an e-mail from escape concerning our ferry and wave times? we were supposed to get something 2 weeks before the event...
