LOL! I just picked up a used American Classics 38mm carbon tubular wheelset from my chiropractor. He got hurt over a year and a half ago (hip socket) and was told by his doc to stop running and can't ride like he use to. So he's been considering selling off his collection of tri stuff and asked me 2 weeks ago if I wanted his carbon wheels for $400. I couldn't resist, so instead of a drainer I have carbon wheels with ~250 miles; a 40k TT, Great Floridian 05 and Kona 06 (family friend) are all the rides they have on them. The tires (Tufo S33 specials,115-175psi) are new as of Kona since the previous set had a slice and the rider put new ones on just in case!

Now I need to learn about tubular's and need to get another cassette. Can't wait to go for a ride with them. They spec out at 1175g, compared to my OEM Easton Vista SL they should be ~500g lighter. Just read that the rims are the older Zipp 245 rim.

Now I have to get out and ride more so these things can actually help me!

EMail is on it's way

Seriously sweet set of wheels. Your going to love riding Tubulars.

Definitely a great alternative to a drainer.

Sweet~

Don't be like me and procrastinate learning how to change your tubular so going into your races you have confidence how to do it.

Your Chiropractor just happens to be a triathlete and just happened to hurt himself... How fortuitous for you...

May have to get Horatio on this one.

Tubulars ... such fond memories of being covered in glue wrestling with the tire to get it on the rim

Actually, it's not that bad and the ride is great.

Congrats on a great deal!
