Subject: RE: How Hard is this? I remember it being pretty difficult, maybe not as difficult as pull-ups. BUT I really I hated pull-ups. Wrestling was my favorite sport. I spent some time on the peg boards and climbing the rope. We had to do both without the help of our feet. I can still remember getting to the top of that rope, all the way to the top of the gym, without using my feet. Got pretty good at it. Now, I probably couldn't make it 1/4 of the way up. On the issue of weight loss for wrestling... That was always the dirty secret in wrestling. We just had to make weight. Nothing was said about how we accomplished that. I never had much of an issue, as after football season, I would lose 10 pounds and be done with it. Some of the smaller guys would be pushing the limits all the time, running before matches with trash bags on, etc. Of course, my HS sophomore year, I wrestled heavy weight, and actually had to make weight with my clothes on, etc., because I had to weigh over 189. Heck, I had to eat, just to make that. Also, Vision Quest was AWESOME!!! May have to watch it soon....get some inspiration for the upcoming tri season. |
