I have a Garmin 405 and lately (past month or so) my workouts will not upload. When I click on "Get data" the upload bar goes up to anywhere from 62-90% and says "Transfer Complete" but doesn't upload anything. It just says "0 workouts found". I have loaded the most recent plugin but it hasn't made any difference. Anyone else having this trouble?

We haven't had any other reports of this and my 405 is uploading correctly.

Are you sure that there are workouts recorded for that day on the 405? You can check the History on the device to ensure they're there.

Yeah, they are there. The loading bar goes up to anywhere from 60-90% and then says that there were no workouts found. I will keep messing with it to see if I can figure out the problem.

Having same problem with 305 this morning.  Canceling freezes the browser window in IE, Chrome, and Firefox.

Edit:  Just ran over to the GC test page for a moment, and checks out in Chrome and IE, so not sure it's a GC issue.

Hmm...I'll try using another browser. Hadn't thought of that. It used to work with Firefox but FF can be picky sometimes.

Re-install garmin communicator (even though it's testing clear) and reboot, and the issue continues.  Unit says info is transfered, transfer hits 100%, then upload freezes at 20-80% and locks up my browser window.  Training Center, SportsTracker, and the GarminConnect transfers work flawlessly.  I think we've narrowed this one down.

While considering paid services, I'm seeing they're pretty useless without this upload feature...will take that into consideration moving forward.

Any luck on your end susanp?

I'm having the same issues, although I have a Garmin 310XT.
I've done the things that have been suggested:
I've gone to the Garmin Communicator page and the software tests accurately there.
I checked the Garmin watch and all workouts appear correctly in history.

I'm a BT Gold member and I've uploaded for a year successfully until this recent problem.
What advice do you have?

Testing with Training Center, SportsTracker, and the GarminConnect can confirm that it isn't a hardware issue but that's it. The device interface uses Garmin code that they make available to 3rd party websites such as us. Training Center, SportsTracker, and the GarminConnectdon't use this code.

Try it on this page on the Garmin site. That can help pinpoint the problem.

Have you deleted any workouts from the unit? This behavior can be caused when the Garmin interface tries to process too many workouts on the unit. Try deleting all but the last month's workouts.
