Subject: RE: how do u set up for the transition? Here is an easy depiction of what I do. First find a good landmark by the bike racks so you can refer to it after comming out of the water -Rack Bike -Helmet w/chin strap unclipped and laying in aerobars w/sunglasses inside helmet -Off to the right or left just a tad lay a towel nothing to HUGE but just enough -Place Race Belt Under Running Shoes so it won't blow away -Depending on the race rules bike shoes clipped into pedals with straps open and ready to go -If flying mounts are not your thing then Bike Shoes on the front half of your towel straps open ready to go -Nutrition depending on course is on your bike or tape gels to top tube That is pretty much it in a nut shell make transition area as simple as you can. It's a very crowded space so less is more. Another thing I do is use the craziest neon looking towel I can find it helps with locating your spot when comming out of the water too.
