Hi all,

I just posted my race report this morning for the Kure Beach Double Sprint tri that I did this weekend. I am glad I participated but my lack of training the past few months really showed. I hope to do another sprint in Sept. and see what difference a solid two months of training will make! I was proud of my swim time which ended up being middle of the pack within my entry category of novice female.

Hi guys.  I just posted my race report.  It was fun.....I have to say the highlight of my race was finishing with a smile on my face and being the first female across the finish line.  It was strange because it was the only sport I have ever competed in that I was first across the finish, but ended up 5th overall (women), and 2nd in my ag.

It was also really cool that my parents were up from FL visiting.  I was glad to do well for them!

I put this in my report, but being a swimmer I thought the swim would be the easiest (or at lest feel good) for me.  WRONG!  It may have been just because it was the first leg and I was SO NERVOUS, but my swim felt so strange.

I am so glad to have that one behind me.  Hopefully my next one (in 2 weeks) will be a little easier on the nerves.  If not, the race directors are going to start making me rent my own port-o-let.  I spent too much time there pre-race.... too much information????

Nice job on the race!!

When I'm really nervous I feel like I have to pee a lot, too.  I think it's pretty normal.

Boy aren't we a quiet group!

Doing my second tri this weekend, and my first ows.  Anyone have words of wisdom for the swim???  I have only been swimming in the pool so I have no idea what to expect.

Thanks

We are a quiet group!!

As far as the swim, try to relax as much as you can.  If you aren't having problems, draft draft draft!!  It's legal and helps so much.  If you feel a little panicky, I usually flip onto my back for a few minutes to get my breathing under control.

Have fun at the race!  Can't wait to hear about it.

Hey everyone.  Hope all are having a good summer and fun training.

Just wanted to let you all know that I just posted my race report from yesterday (7/13).  I have been sick so I was not expecting much from the race, nothing more than experience and my first ows.  But, I had fun and I think it helped me decide to go for the half in Sept.

Take care   ~  Linda
