newbz - 2009-09-08 10:44 AM can i ask what the obsession with triathletes and smoothies is?

I'm what I call "Colorado Lazy", I'd be classifies as extremely active in 49 other states, but in Colorado I'm just mediocre.  Smoothies are the easiest way for me to actually eat healthy.

I'm guessing a lot of us take one day/week and prep everything at once and shove it all in the freezer?  Chop the tops of a huge ziplock bag full of strawberries, peel and cut 3+ dozen bananas, etc.  It's made me even more willing to throw a smoothie together since now it's more of a grab, dump, blend (go do something else for a minute), grab, rinse blender, and go.

Now if I could only figure out how to magically have the blender clean itself each time it would be even better... I wonder if I could order like 10 glass blender pitchers so I could then grab a clean one, blend and fill the dish washer with them over time and then run them all at the same time as I get close to running low of clean ones... I think that might be my next "completely unnecessary spending of money" (I'm doing my part to help the economy)
