standing in line for my daily grande light blend coffee with room for cream with my 8-year-old son before we get to his school I get to the front and see that the light blend on their chalk board isn't "Guatemalan Guave" or "Nicaraguan Nectar" but just plain..."House"....

"I'll have a grande house coffee with room for cream"

"No, no, mom, this is your *work* coffee, remember???"

everyone in the line cracks up....b/c yes, in fact, I was getting my "house" coffee to take to work with me.

Happy 8th birthday to my beautiful son Jack, the light of my life and someone who's growing up just too_damn_fast....

May his heart always stay young and his innocence and sweetness never be spoiled or dampened by all the ugly out in the world. I am truly blessed to have you in my life....
