Veteran  253   Joysey |  Subject: Nike SDM TailwindI just recieved my new Nike SDM Tailwind (speed, distance monitor) in the mail and couldn't wait to get outside and go for a run to try it out. Of course I didn't take the extra five minutes to learn how to calibrate it to make it 99% accurate but it was close enough on the first try. It hooks under your laces and sits ontop of the tongue on your sneaker. I didn't even feel it was there! What a great little gadet. I got it on Altec.com for about 99$. A little birthday present for me from me  Gotta love that. Once I calibrate it I'm sure it will get even closer to being right on as opposed to the 95% accuracy right out of the box. Definately worth a try if you aren't getting quality results from your standard pedometer and don't have the few hundred dollars to spend on a HRM with GPS. Hope someone benfits from this. Did you get the one that transmits to a watch so you can tell how fast you are going while you are running? They didn't have that version when I bought mine so I just look at it at the end of the run. |
