Event comments:

Great race. Great scenery. Great friends. I have to give props out to our cheerleader. Even though he didn't race and we all gave him s&^t for it, I think it's awesome. I nearly died a couple of times, and what saved me was seeing familiar faces. Seeing my cousin running an aide station at mile was awesome & right as I was about to stop and walk because of my stomach issues. It propelled me for at least a couple more miles. Then I saw the cool kids on the way back. Then chris. That's the best feeling...knowing that someone is rooting for you (no matter how you do). I think I pulled my stomach muscles.

Also, great post race breakfast. Although I was stuck at the kiddy table with Chris and Jerry...appropriatley!

I think that most people would feel like puking if they ran that fast!!!

Seriously great race Paulette. I knew you would kill that course. You are in a VERY tough AG too, well done on placing so high! 9th overall- Wow!!!!

Great Race Paulette. You set the pace for the entire group. I think you missed it at breakfast. The waitress asked Chris how his run was this morning and all of us just started laughing. It was nice to see him out there though.

Sorry your stomach was giving you fits! That sux!  BUT you still pulled out a super fast race!!!  Scary to think how much faster you could have maybe done it if you were feeling 100%!!!  You are right....a turn around course where you can see each other does give you a boost!

Vitamins can do it. I try to avoid them before "races" a.k.a. yoga in my world. Congrats for surviving.

Great job out there!  You're in the craziest AG and as usual, you're at the top.  You just keep doing what you're doing and I guarantee you'll get what you've been striving for. Hell, you haven't even been racing a year yet and look what you're doing!!

Thx for the props! I won't be cheering you on in April though...I'll be whooping your @ss!!!
