Run
Transition 1
Bike
Comments: Rode hard on the bike. My goal was to nail the bike and just try to hang on during the run. Stayed in the aerobars the whole time with the exception of the tight turn around and the hard right hander where I came off in Chilly Cheeks 1. What would you do differently?: Nothing for this time of year. Haven't done any sustained efforts above Functional Threshold Power so I know I've got quite a few untapped watts. More tempo and threshold efforts, some good tubs, and a disc I think could average over 25 mph for this course. We'll see at "Tri the Creek". Transition 2
Comments: Rode all the way into transition. So no riding on the tops of my shoes or running with the bike. Time seemed about average here. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: This run was alright. I can tell I haven't been doing much hard running. That first hill outta transition always feels like a kick in the junk. What would you do differently?: Need to do some tempo and track work. Also some hard bricks. Post race
Warm down: Ran out and came back in with Meg. Maybe a mile and half total. What limited your ability to perform faster: Been kinda sick lately and I think that hurt me. I'll be heading into the clinic this week, cuz I'm sure I've got some sort of sinus/bronchial infection going. I hope it doesn't mess up my training week (I'm actually knocking on wood as I type this). Last updated: 2008-02-18 12:00 AM

Nothing different than any other race. Woke up early had some some cereal and coffee. Got loaded up.
Rode about 5 miles to see what the course was like. Racked the bike and went for a short 1 mile run.
