Run
Comments: I was soooo not trained for this event. Been running but nothing long.....oh well. The right knee feels like someone is sticking an ice pick in it so have to deal with that now. Muscularly and aerobically I felt fine. I stopped at 4 different port-o-lets, stopped several times to stretch, stopped at every water stop and stopped to pet/play with a pug. The fact that I stopped so much and still came in under 2 1/2 hours shocked me. What would you do differently?: There is always that training thing I could have done more. Post race
Warm down: Warm up - walked to the race Warm down - couldn't get a beer fast enough into the body What limited your ability to perform faster: right knee, hips, joints.........probably shouldn't have biked 50 miles the day before. Last updated: 2008-02-27 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5:15; shot a gel and drank lots of water and coffee.
Walked to the start of the race. That was warmup enough considering where the hotel was located.
