In my non expert opinion, here are 4 links to area triathlon clubs that you should look into.

1. North Atlanta Multisport Club. http://www.northatlantamultisport.org/
Pros: Beginner friendly. Low annual cost. Very active community.
Cons: Very little group centric training. There is some group training organized by individuals, as well as some seminars and clinics, as well as monthly meetings.

2. Atlanta Triathlon Club. http://www.atlantatriclub.com/
Pros. Lots of opportunities to learn and train as a group. 50 meter pool. Swim, Spin, Bike, Run.. all of it.
Cons. New club to the scene. Cost.

3. Getfit-Atlanta. http://www.getfit-atlanta.com/
Pros. Established, Group Training. Swim, Spin, Bike, Run.. all of it.
Cons. Location from you (west side-Mableton), Cost.

4. Peachtree Triathlon club.  http://www.peachtreetriclub.com/home.html
Pros: Unknown. Perhaps someone else can weigh in here.
Cons: same.. I have no idea.

There are even more clubs in the area. Concourse Triathlon Club, Tri Atlant, to name a few.

As I am this forums Mod, I am not advocating one club over another, just giving you some information from which to work. Others can post their experiences and reccomendations for you.

Note: eventually, I will be posting a local resources post to the top of this forum that will list the most well know Triathlon clubs, as well as stores, and other informative links as well.

I've found TriAtlanta doesn't do ANYTHING!

Has anyone done GetFit? I am in North Atl. Multi but the idea of stuctured group workouts appeals to my need for motivation side. And I'm close to Mabelton.

I've done Getfit but only their marathon club. However, I know several people who are members and/or coaches in both the tri and running programs and I would say they are very beginner friendly. There are group workouts all week and you are put into groups according to your ability so it's easy to meet people to train with. Not sure if that helps you at all....
