Pre-race routine:

Race is just a block or two away from home. Got up ate had some joe and read the paper.
Event warmup:

Ran around for 10 minutes plus some strides in front of the OPRF High School. Talked to some folks and actually got caught talking to the womens winner when the gun went off.

Comments:

Thought I was in the red but looking back I really wasn't. I don't know what happened in mile 2. I was pacing a guy in the first mile who shot past me at the clock so I tailed him to draft a little bit. We slowed to the point that I got to mile 2 25 seconds slower. Dropped him there.
What would you do differently?:

Run faster.
Post race
Warm down:

Talked to people who are faster. Laughed at myself. Ran 1.25 to cool down.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The government and Keebler (damn tree elves!)
