Subject: RE: light_sabe_r's group is CLOSEDI'm on board with the finding a riding partner. I have made a few new friends who I ride with and it is WONDERFUL!! I hated riding earlier in the year and now I'm addicted. If you see someone at the pool (where I met my Sunday riding buddy ) or wherever else you workout ask if they ride or know of groups who ride. OR call your local bike dealer - they may have a riding group. Even if you go only once you may find someone who has a schedule compatable to yours that you can become riding buddies with. My husband coached soccer this past year and at the soccer banquet I was talking with one person about how I have just started and she went and got another lady to introduce me to who then helped hook me up with a group of moms who rode 2x a week at 5 am during the summer - which was perfect for me. Now I have a network of people. The riding community is so nice. Just ask around - you never know who can open a door for you that hooks you up with a great group. It is much more fun with a friend and you will be amazed at how much you will improve when you ride with people at your level and slightly better. |
