Comments: I took 3 gels and I don't remember the miles where. At about mile 8 I had a couple shot bloks and also took the Cliff shots offered on the course. Drank water at first and switched to Gleukos at about 10 mile mark. What would you do differently?: Warmed down better before getting in a car to ride home. I've never been so sore in all my life! Post race
Warm down: Little to none What limited your ability to perform faster: Piriformis hurt bad from the first and from the half way it was really excruciating pain. I had a blast anyway. Event comments: Would have been nice to have 4 portapotties where they were instead of 2, but I know that's asking a lot. Last updated: 2008-03-01 12:00 AM

7 am start, woke up at 4ish, ate a bit of protein bar and 1/2 banana and some FRS and took motrin. Piriformis in left butt irritated for the last day. (I rested it for a week and still had a problem)
Stretched on the foam roller and tennis ball. showered and we headed over to the shuttle for the start around 6.
Only had time to go to the bathroom and check in gear bag which was fine because I wanted my first couple miles to be the warm-up. I left my sweatshirt on and didn't ditch it until mid-way.
It was sunny and breezy.
