Hit mile 4 at .11 mile behind my goal pace, ended the race .24 mile ahead of pace. Not a bad time considering we started almost 2 blocks behind the starting line and were packed like sardines - don't know how many thousands of people were in front of us at the start. On another note, it's really sad that this race has been going for 97 years and the organizers didn't have enough porta bathrooms for people to use before the race started. We waited in line for nearly 40 minutes, just barely making it out of the bathroom in time for the gun to go off.

Show-up earlier and use the bathroom at a non-race venue. The 35-40 mins spent waiting for the bathroom prevented us from obtaining better starting positions, which were readily available when we arrived at 7:20AM.
