Hey Everyone,

Although I'm not in the state for the summer due to an internship that came up I'm curious to hear how everyone is doing? So just let it out

Hey that doesn't let you off the hook for organizing 1st rate Triathlon in Jamestown.

Training been going really well this year despite the windy weather.

1st Tri will probably Bismarck on June 8th. If I can convince my wife to go to the Yankees game at the end of May. I'll try to get into the Buffalo Tri on June 1st. Race is full but charity spots are open.

What kind of internship do you have?

A marketing one. I'm working for a small-business that feels they struggle with marketing. It's been fun so far but what I like most about it, is that they don't care when I get my work done so if it's nice out, I take off on a run or ride. I do need to get the work done though, so it's not all play I have a race this weekend out here, but it's just a tune-up before IMKS 70.3 in June.

My first tri will be in Detroit Lakes in August. I have really started to love cycling, so I have been focusing on that more lately.

I am still building up to running a full 5k, I am almost there!

Unfortunately, my swimming leaves much to be desired.

Training has been very tough, 40 mph wind hurts everything.. But I've been up @ 4:30 running outside and Riding whenever possible.. Otherwise playing a gerbil on a treadmill, and swimming every week although only ONCE a week! Have fun with the internship///

They say the toughest part about many triathlons is just getting to the starting line.  Getting to the finish line is the fun part!! This spring I was really serious about having getting competitive and such and I would still like to, but you got to remember that you should be enjoying doing this great sport.  Good luck with the training all!!! I'll work on that Jamestown Triathlon

Trainings been going well up in Jamestown. It's been hella windy but I guess you just have to fight through it. I need to swim more but the biking and running are up to par. I'm doing the Lifetime Fitness Tri in the cities July 12th so that should be fun. I might do a Tri in Eureka SD too if my schedule permits. Hey any of you live in Jamestown cause it would be cool to get a bike group together? Later peeps.

Imtriing is there this summer.  I am normally there but I found a job for the summer out in Colorado so I'm enjoying climbing more than just bunny hills

I've been training in Jamestown this summer. Just purchased a summer membership at the "Y" today (Hello CHLORINE). I haven't been as consistent with the training as I would like, but I'm trying to run the Pipestem mountain bike trail each non-race weekend, and get a long bike in. I have been just riding out to Buchanan and back or a loop past the marina, depending on winds and how I feel that day.

Just did the Tri in Eureka SD this weekend...it was crazy windy on the out and back bike course (into the wind going out with the wind comming back), surprisingly I put a monsterbike in when I was going with the wind and actually caught some people that passed me on the way out. Signed up for the sprint diastance but the event was a bit bush leauge.

The swim for both the sprint and the olympic distance were cut to 400m due to nasty chop, once again i was kinda quick out of the water, but had a slow transition so I had to catch a bunch of people on the bike.

The bike course was poorly marked so quite a few people including myself missed the turn around for the sprint distance, so from that point on I did the olympic distance bike aswell as the run too.

Other than that training is going well, I need to get my swimming up to par before the Lifetime fitness tri here in a couple weeks. Late peeps

I might have to find something beside the Prairie Rose. My boss is sending me South of Marmarth, ND to work next week. It would be a 4 1/2 hr drive to get to Minot so I will probably try to do the Xterra race in Spearfish, SD(2 HR drive) if I still can get in.

Other races for the year will be the Dickinson & Mandan races unless you're putting something together this fall up at UND.

That would be sweet but I don't think it's realistic.  I would like to see something in Jamestown, since we have the beautiful Jamestown Resevoir.  If it was to be in Grand Forks, where would we swim?!?! The Red River   ???
